Hey I was just wondering, how many of you guys have those off days on Halo? What is your way to amp yourself up and make yourself play better? I have these days about twice a week. Usually Wednesdays and Saturdays. The way I fix it is a shower, coffee, and a red bull.

Would be happy to hear some good replies :)

I usually just don't talk the first few games so I can focus on my mental game. Focusing on that for me helps any issues I have

I turn off my xbox or tell everyone I was lagging

Usually don't take the first few games too seriously, just warming up, but I try to get on every day cause I have no life.

I have them quite often too, although mine are just random. Like I'll do great one game and then my next game I'll be doing terrible. Usually if I have too many off games in a row I just shut my console off for a couple hours and then get back on and have at it again. I've realized that when I play with my friends I tend to do better most of the time.

Starcraft 2 is the solution to all my off days.

Hahaha, well.. usually even if I'm not playing well (happens often), I'm generally still in a pretty good mood as most people who play online with me would agree with.
I'll rarely get into a bad mood while playing halo.. but if you ever notice that I've gotten super quiet, and have stopped talking, then it's usually a sign that I've been put into a bad mood, and will most likely get offline soon after.
ALTHOUGH, if I'm racing in halo, I don't talk.. and that's not because I'm in a bad mood, it's because I go into super try-hard mode.. I also drive dirty, I won't hesitate in flipping your mongoose over if I get the chance LOL.
Whenever I have an off day though, I sleep it off.

Usually when I start having an off day, its because my energy is sapped... Grabbing a bite to eat and take that time to clear my head a little usually does the trick.

This exactly. I'm generally not too bad of a player (unless Imp3nded is in the game, on my team or the other). I can only play so long before I lose focus though. I just break for about 30mins to an hour. I also do terrible when there is no one else to talk with. I don't care about winning, but I need someone to talk to or I get super frustrated and bored.

I usually just breathe deep and keep telling my self that its ok that I just lost that battle because when I am off I tend to get really mad and down on myself. Most people can't really tell that I do because I am a beast at controlling my temper. Anyway after the match I usually just get another Dr. Pepper put on some heavy metal and go at it again.

The worst is when you totally get owned by someone. Like being up 2 shots and then losing the battle (this happens to me partly because my connection is mediocre).
I would like to take a break if this happened. Cool off, eat something, re energize myself. It works usually.
