my first game vs an mlg pro

so me and my friend are playing mlg and we get matched up against BRAKE from Warriors 2 games in a row! first time i've ever played vs a pro, was pretty cool. he destroyed both games, but we were able to win the first game because they were down a man lol :p. this was the better of the 2 games from my POV. it is very sloppy i know, have been playing bad for a few days now.

thats really cool.. at my first tourney i matched up against storm ventures.. that was epic lol
after that i matched up with different pros on customs cause i ended up getting my name in there but that went away when i went away but now im back and i intend on making my name shine


and even if you did bad for a couple games it doesnt mean a thing just practice all you can and keep watching your footage

Just don't think about it. It's not really that big of a deal. Don't go in the game thinking you have something to prove to them, just go in like every other game and play smart. Best advice I can give you.

I played Instinct about two weeks ago, my first time against pros, and the 3 randoms on my team were awe struck... we got raped but i did have the most kills against lbx.

I dont think I have eveer played with a pro, I dont know very many pro gamertags though, if I did I just went by like nothing happened.

haha i know, at first i didn't even think anything of it. then i looked at the name for a little and it clicked so i looked him up on bungie and saw it was him. was just more excited. i'm going to get the sanctuary ctf game rendered once i buy more minutes, had a couple more 1v1's in that one. i felt confident. i was behind by a shot or 2, but thought i could've got him. it was just really a treat to be able to play against him, i hope i get matched up with more pros. i always wanted to and it finally happened lol. a great benchmark to see where i am. i'd like to attend an event this year for the experience, and going against a player on a team in the 6th seed was a great confidence boost. haha this would've never happened in halo 3!!!

Also, NK and snake bite were mad chill. they were cracking jokes with us and just having fun and were all around nice guys

yea i felt myself targeting him, to want to kill him. got side tracked a few times. would only call him out, haha i was on a mission. again was my first time so was more just worrying about him. next time i'll play my game since i'm a vet after playing a pro twice hahaha j/k.

i get matched against pros or with pros every once in a while, a lot more in halo 3 than in reach so far. i remember matching defy in MLG FFA 3 times in a row and beating him out 2/3 times, it was awesome. i also matched against neighbor and bestman going in by myself in MLG playlist. it was me and 3 others by themselves and we somehow beat them 5 - 3 on heretic flag. i think i heard neighbor cursing at the end of that game lol. :)

i faced FiS in H3 like a couple of weeks before DC i think. it was heretic flag, and i was playing/calling out like crazy cause i really wanted to beat him. i ended up getting 30-something assists and only going -1. my team won, and FiS was -10 i think lol.

Yea you always remember your first game with a pro. I played Flamesword back in 09. Since i had a team for cbus 2010 we ran a lot of 4s in mlg and we played almost every h3 pro after awhile you dont think its that big of a deal and you just want to do good and maybe impress them

The day the MLG Playlist came out I played against SyA, and in Halo 3 I played the 09 tD, the 09 BtH that won Nats., nearly every pro. Also, over the weekend I played with Brake on my team and he is really cool, and was pretty dirty(obviously).

to just an average person who likes and follows mlg it is. was fun playing against a pro you watch at the events. just like playing a game against a pro athlete in one of the major sports. i would never get a chance to play against a pro in a ranking system like halo 3. i'm not good enough to get to a 48+ to have the chance. you are around pros a lot so i can see why it may not be a big deal to you. was just a fun experience for myself
