I'm assuming that everyone here is a MLG and Pro gaming fan. If so i wish to let you know about the GSL. Global Starcraft League has become a Love of mine in the past 6 months. I wake up early every morning just to watch it. The games are cast by 2 guys called Tasteless(Day9's Older brother if you know about Day9) and Artosis - Otherwise known as the Casting Archon.

Anyway, Its the Finals on the 18th of December of Season 3. Winner of the tournament will win $87k 2nd place with win $30k Pretty amazing numbers inside Korea. Pretty amazing numbers anywhere in terms of Prize money.
Anyway, if you want to watch you can view it for free on http://www.gomtv.net/ at 9am GMT. It is going to be a Terran vs Protoss in the finals so there shouldn't be any cheesy Marine all in play, we should get some epic 30 minute games.
If you are not sure you want to stay up late to watch Korean TV, then check out the latest upload from Artosis(One of the Casting Archon) This is the sort of stuff you will be seeing in the finals.

Seasons fun for about 1 months each, with the best 64 players of about 2000 people getting to compete on the main stage over that month. Season 4 is going to be slightly different now they have got the player rankings sorted and everyone has been put into their respective categories. the 2000 Random players that show up, it will be slightly harder for them to qualify, but they wont be fighting against pro players for the spots.
Its just like if the MLG didnt have team rankings and everyone started from the amateur bracket. This way the top 24 players will always be in the Ro64.
But just think of this, Prizes are given out everyone month or so, with about $180k Prizes every season. And with there being about 8 seasons in a year, you can see how lucrative it is to Watch/Play/Partake in Korean E-sports

Von, Just watch it for the show. Its actually pretty amazing what they do for it. Imagine MLG National championships with Fireworks and a large concert beforhand.

I love how the players are like showcased on their mainstage XD Only reason I know that is because my friend follows GSL and stuff because he's a big SC2 player and he's not too bad either.

Thanks Aran! I've started watching SC2 ever since MLG started broadcasting it. Love watching the matches, and Day9 is awesome so i'm sure his brother is great at it to.
I'll definately be checking this out!

Playstyle in Korea is a bit different to the MLG plays. 90% of the Terran players prefer a 2 Rax all in SCV push at about 6 minutes. People have started getting very annoyed with this style of play because its cheap its cheesy and it requires very little skill to execute against a Zerg player.
But this is the first Sc2 season that a Zerg player hasn't been in the finals so people are hoping to see some amazing late games with Battlecruisers, High Templars and all of the good stuff that has us on the edge of our seat.

Me: "I'm so confused...Zerg and battlecruisers, Terran players, and 2 Rax? These guys are such nerds!"
My wife: "Honey, you're 30 years old, you wear headphones to play video games, and I can hear you yelling about carbine spawns and needing to push into ring 2, while you teabag some 14 year old kids dead master chief. Who is the real nerd?"
Me: "Yea but he was hiding with shotgun...he deserved it!"
Wife: (Shakes head and walks away)

Kwame, I know the feeling.
But all you need to know
Terran - Space Rednecks
Protoss - Religious Freaks with no mouths
Zerg - Awesome Bug Race!
Pretty much sums up Sc2

Lol amen to that!
Huk almost got a mother ship 2 tourneys ago, but the crowd started chanting mothership and that kinda got owned.
And there's always some awful super speed rush move that sucks cuz its so cheasy and corny but works that players will use. But thats just until someone breaks it down. Hopefully the cheese will stop soon!

im so upset by this ive watched every series from round of 32, except the nestea and rain series (not happy i missed due to cheesing by rain and raging crowd woulda been awesome), and im gonna miss it coz they make it a weekend day unlike every other series ive watched. Anyway i see MC walking this, his play is so good and he 4-0d Jinro who i have never seen him play as well. Looking forward to see if there is gonna be any cheese plays or anything unusual.
To anyone that doesnt watch/play starcraft all you need to know is play terran if you buy it.

Oh my god. I was just on the japanese justin tv and someone was streaming/translating/commentating a starcraft tourny and I saw their stage setup for the first time. Looks pretty boss!!
the headsets they were using on stage look pretty cool. They are like flat around the ear headphones. Anyone know the brand/model?
Edit: LOL. nevermind. I just ralized they wear earbuds + noise cancelers on top. I'm noob.
