Just The Beginning - TO2, LF2

Hey guys, I just start being active on the TLN forums because I enjoy them more than the MLG forums. Some of you may have seen me posting around lately.

So right now I'm trying to organize a team (Just The Beginning) for the 2011 season for Halo: Reach tournaments and what not. Specifically MLG events, but if there are some events/tournaments that appeal to the team, we could compete at.

Currently, it as a TO2 with me (AntKeyyy) and a local friend of mine, Pat (iGGySauRuS ReX). We are from Collegeville, Pennsylvania which is around 45 minutes away from Philly. I have been to two events, competed at one (didn't place well at all, actually got knocked out first round, if you really want to know the story than just ask), so I have some event experience and some LAN experience. iGGy however, has never been to an event, but has some event experience. I am 17 years old and iGGy is 16/17 (haha, I don't know) and we are just looking for two teammates who work well with us. We don't really care: how old you are, what event experience you have, what your H3 level was, and etc. We are just looking to run games with anyone who wants to, just send a friend request along with a message letting me know that you want to run games. Or just post here haha.

haha yeah, im not looking for definite teammates, im looking to run games with just as many people as i can to find the right fit, but yeah ill add u later

I started out like two weeks before playing with some kids. We worked well together, pretty good teamwork, had skill, and etc. Sunday we practiced and then they wanted me to get on Monday. I was like, I can't I have to work until 10. So, they were like okay and were fine with it but I was unconvinced. After work that the Monday right before D.C., I got on xbox and sent the kids a couple game invites. They didn't respond and I sent them a message and which they also didn't respond to. I was nervous because the rosters locked that night and around 11:50 ish I checked the mlg website to see if I was still registered. At first I was still on but around 11:58 it wouldn't let me access the roster and I got pissed off. I made a forum post on MLGPRO to try and get a last minute team going. I ended up finding a group of three kids who needed a fourth on Thursday around 7pm ish. I was happy to find a team so I could play but right after I got picked up we ran around 3-5 games of customs. I went to bed and Friday I drove down. I arrived around 1pmish and my team wasn't anywhere to be found. They ended up getting there around 4ish and the event started in around 3 hours. We walked around exploring at first, but what we should have been doing was getting games in and warming up. We found one game to play (FFA, of course not 4v4 =\) but than after one game we had to get up so another team could warm up (because it was play one get up). So than we wandered around again and than the ffa started. I got knocked out because it was my first game and first event and I was disappointed because i should have made it through maybe 3 rounds. Than the 4v4 started and we went in with pretty much no practice or warm up. We played pretty bad and I am positive we would have done so much better if we practiced. We got destroyed in slayer but the objective game was pretty close. Than in the losers bracket we did a little bit in the slayer, than actually went into overtime on zealot flag score being 2 - 2. We pulled the flag, almost capped it, they went clutch and counter capped game over because we were like 6 minutes into overtime. Oh well, no regrets I competed first event, now i know wat to expect and how to prepare and I am ready to destroy this season. I'll add you when i get a chance and when i'm testing kids to team with we can scrim.

but yeah thats my long story, thats what happened, i know it sounds like a long excuse and i shouldnt be making excuses but oh well
