Being a fan since Instinct became a team back in 2008 the one thing I wanted to see was Instinct to finally get a tournament victory after so many close encounters. Finally this year I got to see that happen not once, but twice and one of them in person. It was so awesome to finally see this team win in dominating fashion.

What i saw this weekend was not at all impressive. Instinct looked unpracticed and unprepared, unlike the other teams. To be getting dominated by teams like they were all weekend was embarrassing to watch as a noble fan. I honestly feel that the only practice Instinct has put in was the LAN in July and this one over the weekend. This is your chance Instinct to be labeled as the best Halo 3 team and to make history as the one of the best Halo teams ever and letting it slip up because you take a month off before the event.

You guys have roughly 3 days leading to the event to beat more practiced teams like FB, Dynasty, tD, sQ and BtH. I hope that you guys don't let me down and you can find a way to pull out the 3-peat, but as a fan I ask that no matter what happens at Raleigh that I want to see the practice put in like you did for Orlando so I can continue to watch you guys win.

Instinct looked better as the LAN went along. I must admit i was shocked at just how bad they were at the beginning of the LAN.
The whole BtH leaving was daft and as Instinct i would have demanded we got to play FB in Losers Finals for the chance to play tD. Plus Instinct could have done with more practice, they were getting better but still weren't quite there.

Yeah I agree it was somewhat shocking but, its nice to see some other dominate teams like Dynasty.

I think they'll figure it out this week and again it will come down to FB and Instinct in the finals. Will be a great series except I see FB coming out on top this time with Instinct coming back through the LB to get to the championship finals.

If they work out their consistency problems they had this LAN then they will definitely be a top 2 team for Raleigh.

Instinct's different at events. You won't hear Roy calling Lunch a 'faggot', and you won't hear cloud whining about every little thing. Their mentality will be different, and they have a lot of game film now to watch and go over. They'll tweak some things and learn (I hope). Let's go, Instinct. <3

Hopefully they work heavily on Construct TS, Construct King, Narrows TS, Heretic TS, and Guardian Ball.

I know that the event is different and how they play and talk to each other isn't the same, but they looked so bad on a lot of gametypes as impended mentioned. I am so surprised at the fall they took in guardian ball. That was their favorite gametype and strongest the past two events and now they can't get past the 125 mark it seems. They haven't been practicing and I have always thought of Instinct being a team that would do whatever it takes to win after taking so long to finally win a tournament.

Instinct has a different way of looking at the game than most teams. When you look at most teams, you say, 'If (so and so) steps it up, they can win it.', or '(So and so) just needs to mesh with the team better.' Instinct however, has a roster that is bursting at the seams with four of the most consistent talents in the game today. Sure, any one of them can step it up and dominate a game. However, poor individual play isn't what we saw last weekend was it? What I saw, that I didn't EVER see in say, Orlando, were one-on-one battles. I remember watching LBX POV, and thinking to myself, 'Wow, he is winning every 1v1 he gets in.' Then I thought, 'Why does he have to win 1v1s?' Go back over the last two events VOD, and you will be hard pressed to find even a few instances where any member of Instinct was shooting alone. That is what they have to find. They have to remember how to postition themselves around each other.

I'm sure this isn't news to any of you though. It is just my thoughts.
