Good read I guess. Kind of weird reading an article on becoming a pro, written by a person who has never been a pro before.

Also, Goofy didn't "break out" from playing at the combines. I'm pretty sure he never even competed in a single combine. He had already been on semi pro/pro teams before 2010. (I believe it was him on team Surprise, alongside Gunshot, Brake, and Advent that placed top 16 in Orlando 2009)

An amazing read, and very straight forward. Can't wait to read more tips from some higher rated players.

yes magik isnt pro i agree there but if you get to know him, his mentality is there and his skill is there. hes an amazing player and its sad to say that him and his team are going to be some major comp for me and other pro hopeful teams

I hate to be "that guy," but isn't this coming from some random kid on the forums who is (from my own experience) not very good at this game. I think it would make more sense if an actual pro wrote this, because I'm sure there's a lot more than "4 simple steps" that goes into becoming pro. Thats just my opinion, and I'm sure everyone will disagree.

@pwnage - And no he is not an "Amazing player"

This information is very basic but still good. I enjoyed reading it and magik is a pretty good player. That is my opinion and I think that he could go pro if he keeps at it.

I dont think goofy ever went to a combine, maybe mention adrenaline instead, also Ive heard theres not even going to be combines next season so that option might be gone

do you know why there won't be a combine, would that mean that doritos is no longer a sponsor?

You could pull a SneakEBeaver and just buy your way on the team. Don't forget that! If all else fails, money will get you where you need to be ;)

The information provided is pretty accurate, the hardest part is just getting known and getting into the right circles of semi and pro players, those clicks can be very very hard to break into.

overall i felt it was a very good read.

Those who are questioning Magik's credentials should be reminded that this was supported and published by TLN. It was obviously not meant to cover the exact manner in which to become pro. It's more of a general guideline. It was entertaining to read and was written from a unique perspective.

Ease up forum editors. Great job Magik. Keep em coming!

First off I apologize for putting goofy in the article, it was an honest mistake. I thank everyone for correcting me. Also this was just a simple guide to give a person a clear view of some of the things they can work towards. I am not a pro and I don't claim to be one but I have a little knowledge so I just wrote this to help. Thanks to everyone who read/enjoyed it.

Descendant, before you tell me that I am Not an "Amazing Player" you would of have had played with me constantly for at least more than 10 games and destroyed me each time ALONE. I assure you, you did not. I have no clue who you are to be honest and I don't really care either. What makes me mad is that you can call someone bad when you have no clue at all. You really are ignorant for posting this. Of course there is more than 4 simple steps there are plenty of extra things but its a basic guide. Please think before setting your fingers on the keyboard ever again. Thank you very much btw if you would like to play with me you may add my GT: TLN is Magik or simply message me. Hey, and if you are bad, I give free lessons ;)

P.S. thank you celph, next time I will make sure I tell everyone when I write an article that I am not an expert/professional on any subject lol
