TLN Halo Reach Tourney?

so i would really like to see a big tourny hosted on the TLN website open for all players, but one thing i would like to see is a good prize, the prize i would really enjoy and im sure countless others is i would like to see u have a tourney were the winning team gets an inv to one of the big lans, i think it would be great exposure for up and coming players especially with reach being fairly new still, it would be a great way to get know some new faces on the reach scene.

Im sorry...I agree with Gamble. No offense or anything, but that "XbL Winter Tournament" looks awful as far as competition goes.

Have you played against the teams that are in the tournament? You might wanna look into that before you go into anything bigger yourself.

Yet you assume we have heard of you and that your better then them? Not a very smart thing to do. People you haven't heard of are more then capable of being good at something. So much assumption over the internet these days.

I think its funny how the only person involved in this argument/participating in the tourney that I have ever heard of is Gmble, and he happens to be on my side in this case.

Yeah I am a new person here on TLN and just cause no one has heard of me doesn't me I am not skilled. Plus any tournament experience is a start, you can't just expect to go to a MLG tournament and up top 8. Even if the people in the tournament are not the best, doesn't mean we are not any good. Plus what is wrong playing with nobodies?

The point of the Winter Tournament was to get people's names known. So it's natural you would not know most/any of the people competing. If you have so much confidence in yourself then you should have entered and beat those so called "nobodies". Hell I didn't know anyone when I first came to TLN but after getting to know a few people I have seen how much skill revolves around this site and they made me realize how much I need to up my game.

What is wrong with online tournaments? Gamebattles is basically a large network of online tournaments.

Stop with the bashing. The Winter Tournament is a for-fun thing, and it's going to be awesome for the teams that are participating.

Thus, discuss what is stated in the OP instead of bashing another tournament that is completely irrelevant to this thread.

On Topic: It would be cool if TLN held a Tournament so that a team that couldn't afford to attend Pros vs Joes would be able to go. But I don't see it happening. But I could see a month or two subscription to TLN as a prize.
