Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone could help me find a handgun. Im trying to buy one got some ideas on what I want but open for suggestions. Price is not really an issue but don't get crazy and post the most futuristic or illegal firearm google pics can offer. This thread can also be used for any type of firearm discussion cause we all play shooters and must like guns....maybe. Or for people who enjoy hunting and other outdoor sports can share stories and help educate others who have never hunted or don't have the ability to go.

Is it ironic that the first people to post on here are ALL from Texas?! ( including me )

Lulz, I have a glock 9 mm that i carry with me when i would travel on the road. It's kewl because my car (350z) has a special compartment for hand guns :)

OT: Regular people don't need guns. Thieves, thugs, criminals, hunters and people invading countries for oil need guns.

1. Protection from criminals, thieves, thugs
2. Recreation

Well it depends what you really want it for i guess. The reason I got the Glock was because I would travel from Houston to Austin every weekend, and then eventually moved to Kentucky for a project. So I got the Glock because it was really light and fired rate was pretty quick. It felt great at the gun range and pretty much was sold on it.

If your going to keep it at your house your options could be limitless. If your going to be carrying it with you on daily base I suggest the glock 9 it's really light bro :) , I ended up paying close to 3 bills on it.

Gunz make you tough. You can spend all that money on one for protection, but when it came down to shooting someone, not many people would.

I agree with X9, recreation should be the only reason to own a gun. If you are thinking protection, then you have issues. As I said before, 95% of the people here wouldn't shoot another person.

Spoken like a true Canadian ;) lulz

Maybe it's because my dad raised me this way but I believe its normal for a person to not only own a gun but carry it daily. I've heard so many stories about guns saving peoples lives.

I don't know, I find it hard to believe that anyone would choose to not kill someone if someones life or their own was in jeopardy, I would without hesitation.

Not to get off topic, but what part of Kentucky did you move to?

i personally like the feeling of a sig the glock seems a little bulky and sigs can fire under better conditions than a glock and less chance of jamming but again this is my opionin

Are you going to be using this gun for sport?
