Don't really care if this starts an argument and gets closed, still want to get this out. The chat for the live stream has always been a cool addition to the actual stream itself. Friendly, informative and a fun time. This weekend, for Proes vs Joes, it completely turned into an immature instant message war. Every night it got progressively worse. For me it even got to the point sometimes where I got mad because of how OTHER people were acting. Is there a way we can please have a mute option or something like that? Would make the experience so much more enjoyable. I may have only been a member for a little while here, but I am on the forums everyday and love the TLN community. Having to deal with people like we had to this weekend can only bring negativity to TLN. Just looking out for the better of TLN, as I don't want to see anything change as far as the community atmosphere goes. Let's keep this a friendly and positive family always welcoming newcomers who shows the respect that everyone shows each other. Thanks for reading!

The Stream chat is something that i would like to be able to change, the one and only thing that i think it a problem with TLN. What i wouldn't give to be able to Mute/Kick people from Chat.

Thank you! It's just nonsense that it not necessary. This weekend was for a great time and experience. I learned a lot just from watching and hearing the instructions from the Pros and even the "Joes" as well. I hope to be able to attend one in the future.

and Aran...don't know if you saw my post in another thread, but your sig is hilarious!! hahaha

Good post!! I agree.

How was your time at the Gaming House?!?!

Good post! I wish i would have seen the live stream for PvJ.

There should be Mods in the Chat like Justin.tv. Just Transfer Mods or Admins that regulate the forums to watch the chat.

People should be able to say someone is bad. With that being said the line between stating an opinion and trolling beyond a reasonable amount was crossed pretty quickly this weekend.

I guess the quick fix would be to maximize the video so that you dont have to see the chat. I hope we can fix this soon.

Remember how the entire flame war started. I admit that i made a comment saying that one of the amateurs was bad, from there it turned into a giant massacre. Frankly I think people should be able to say look at that choke, just as much as they can say look at that clutch! the point of having the chat is to acknowledge and comment on HOW the players are playing, not to just compliment them endlessly. As a general idea, i agree with the idea that there should be a higher level of maturity than what was displayed in the stream, but keep in mind that this IS just a matter of stating your opinion

Regardless of how it started, it's the fact it didn't end. I did maximize the screen after awhile.

Sadly I did not get to tune in as much as I wanted this weekend. I would simply butt in my head for a couple of mins then log off [work :( ] but the times I was able to see what was happening in the chats I would think..... wth?

I kinda agree with HEA7 though .... people should be able to say "choke" as much as "clutch".... It allows balance in the universe :)

maybe a mute button option would solve every ones p.o.v's from debating

@ T0eDRAG your sig is pretty sweet, hence if you look up my occupation you will see why your sig's correct medical term is called " Asystole " hence Flat line. I read Electrocardio Heart rhythms every now and then :)

I wasn't involved in this whole argument about people being bad or whatever, but I was around to see some very immature comments about a few people that made me want to kick/mute them. I like the idea.

And that sig with Diesel is the greatest thing I have ever seen.

I just think everyone needs to keep in mind who we are talking about. These people paid $600 to go and play/learn from the pros. Obviously they aren't going to be the best players though some of them are good. Let them talk a little trash to each other and have fun.

i don't mind saying someone is bad, or choked, but when you continue to go on with multiple days of bashing someone that is taking it too far. not to call you out, but HEA7, you went overboard twice. i only point you out because you are the only one who posted who i saw in the chat. state your opinion and leave it at that, if someone says something who cares. don't drag it on and continue to argue. everyone obviously knew shelly was watching the chat every now and then also, to bash her nonstop like people were doing is wrong when she is a respected TLN member and went there for a good time. i stated many times that people went there for a good time and a fun experience, but it was overlooked because everyone wanted to talk people down. and included in that was pro player tizoxic. you are pro status and people are fans of you and look up to you in the halo world, i lost a lot of respect for you this weekend with comments you were making. everybody can game, not everyone is going to be good or pro. i wanted to butt in and give it right back to everyone who was throwing around negativity, but i kept my mouth shut because we don't need that here. if you want to bash people and be immature go to the mlg forums, you'll fit in fine there.

HEA7, this post was not all directed at you even though i mentioned your name. understand that please this is not a bash on you.

@ waterboy...gochia and thanks. made it evry quickly so i know it's not perfect, but its simple. and if i put what the correct term is everyone would always ask what's that mean?? lol, but thanks for the info. i did not know that

i didn't really take part in it, but i usually watch not in full screen because i like to see how the players react to things on camera. it got annoying, it attracts your attention because you see the chat keep going and going lol

idk, i don't pay that much attention to the chat, i just post on there if something crazy happens, like lbx going +30 or whatever. i will admit that i said that some players were bad but not continuously and not insultingly. i usually have it full screen, you get into the games much more that way.

also, whoever came up with the term Spammy Sosa, that is really funny and i use it a lot now, thanks.

Again i will repeat I said a player was bad, and then another member of the community said i didnt know what i was tlking about. I then listed many supporting statements to my original claim. Thats all i did. and if u were watching the stream a huge majority of the people agreed with me. Now the second part about the joes going for a good time, typed it out in caps at least 3 times because no one seemed to understand that i was happy that everyone was having a good time. It was like an assumption of if i call someone bad, then i must be saying they shouldnt be there at all. people need to stop making assumptions.

@ HEA7...that's what i mean. state your opinion which is fine, but if someone says something against it who cares. you know, you don't need to give reasons why. especially when that person had entered the chat a couple of times. again noone can tell you you can't give your opinion, it is just disrespectful when you keep going at it as to talk down that person(s). i wish i could get a chat log to show you. maybe you didn't realize you went a little far. saturday night apologies were given out and it seemed like people got their opinions out and everyone thought okay I got myself heard it's done. then sunday once tizoxic showed up and started making comments about that said person, you and others jumped right in again bashing that individual. i understand how when people start making fun of, or insulting someone it is easy to jump in, but it shows a lot more when you decide not to join in the childish games. it's about maturity, if you want to bash people and make fun of people go do it on the mlg forums. here at tln, we show respect towards each other. it is like a family here. so when one, or many, begin to tear down someone who is a respected member of this family, you can bet "big brother(s)" will come to defend. respect and maturity, that is what tln has that the mlg forums lack. all that we ask is you keep a positive attitude towards people, and keep it a friendly environment.

It's unfortunate, but this is exactly what I do due to the ignorant direction the chat goes sometimes
