Have you visited the campus yet, it's pretty nice. Plus it would be cool to have another TLN kid there haha.

Haha def., plus they have a snowboarding club which sounds neat. My acceptance is still iffy since my grades are really bad haha. They asked for my mid-year report so we'll see. If not I'll just go to community college than transfer out.

I talked with a guy that does snowboarding classes. You just get to snowboard and take lessons over break. All you have to do is log like 5 sentence journal a day and write a small paper at the end of the course and bam, like 3 credits. I did not know Bloomsburg has one tho. Do you know where they go for it?

San Diego State University. Best city in the US. UCSD has a much better campus but it is harder to get into and the people are really nerdy, that's coming for me.

It's not a class, just a club. They go down every so often with a bus and the kids in the club. That class sounds like fun though.

Aww. i wish it was the class. The club sounds cool tho because i dont think i could ever give up snowboarding during college. Im gonna ask about it when i go down. Whats around south of you college wise?

Northeastern University; Boston, MA
In the past 3 years has gone from the 110th ranked school in the country to now the 69th ranked school.
LFG Huskies. By the time I graduate if I applied, I would be accepted and thats it, instead of receiving the scholarship that I have now.
Nations fast educationally growing school + Best CO-OP program in the US!
Going there for Mechanical Engineering and Currently in my Sophomore year (Im in a 5 year program because of CO-OP)

CO-OP for those that don't know is a program which reduces your schooling to 3.5 years, but you take the full 4 years of material. You also are able to go out in the work place which is what CO-OP entails. We take a course which will prepare us for the interview process, gets our Resumes ready, and overall prepares us for looking for jobs. All in all, we spend 1.5 years in CO-OP and yes we get paid for it. So when we come out we mostly get a Job right out of school due to our experience in the field.

Ohh and I hope to attend either Stanford, Cal Tech, Princeton, Carnegie Mellon, or Northeastern Again for Graduate School.

I'm a Junior at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. It's a pretty well known school for basketball and baseball as well as the business school, not a whole lot I can say about Omaha though, the school is in a terrible neighborhood and the city itself doesn't have too much to offer.

When I was applying for college I went way over board sending out I think 14 applications to places like Michigan, U-W Madison, U of MN, Northwestern, Marquette, Stanford, USC, UCLA, Creighton, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Penn St., etc. I got in to 9 of them, ultimately the biggest deciding factor was cost and financial aid which led me where I am. If you're applying for colleges the best advice I could give you would be to picture yourself at the University, where you would live, if you could get a job there, etc. and how far away it is from home. I knew after leaving high school that I wanted to live far away but that is usually rare for people unsure about where they want to go.

Awesome. It's a nice school, really easy in my opinion. I have friends who go to NC State and UNC and well obviously they are harder to get into and much more demanding academically.

CS is an awesome major. I love coding, websites, games etc. Haven't been able to get deeper into the classes. Gotta manage work and can only take a few classes, but it's a fun major and I'd much rather code than write a paper.

Southern PA? Well, I'm like from Philly so there is: Drexel, Arcadia, Ursinus, U Penn, College of the Sciences or something. Those are the ones I can list off the top of my head.

Yeah, I feel like the major suits me best. I'll probably end up focusing on video games and developing them.

Drexel, University of Pennsylvania, and University of the Sciences are all top notch schools and difficult to get into. U Penn is an Ivy League school too. Arcadia and Ursinus are decent schools, I actually live right next to Ursinus.

Carleton College. Northfield, MN. Small Private Liberal Arts School (I believe ranked 9th in the nation?) Division III athletics. It's considered one of the best midwestern schools, nicknamed the 'harvard of the midwest.' It's tough as hell here, it's so crazy because in high school you go from being top 3% in your class to feeling like a lost little puppy at a dog show. Oh well, I got recruited by the coach here to play football so it's hard to balance compared to kids who are 100% student. I'd say I'm more of a 40% football, 30% academic, 20% halo, 10% music kinda dude lol. Anyways, thats where I go.

haha I feel the same way except I'm
40% Academic, 15% halo, 10% Starcraft, 10% Gym, the rest (25%) doing activites, Skiing, Soccer, Broomball, various clubs, and being social
I came from a college prep school so I was ready for the work load, but damn its hard as hell haha.

Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. I'll probably just finish up here and finish my Music Ed. major.

60% music (it's all the classes I still have to take so that works great), 30% gaming, 10% social since weekends is all i get free....and it's usually spend lanning.

I put off college for as long as I could with a four year stint in the Marine Corps... That ended this past summer and I'm currently a freshmen at Webster University...

However....

I moved to Austria (not Australia) to attend one of their international campuses. :D

Haha, more like 50% Academic, 40% MLG, 10% sports.

haha well I would say mostly 50% Academic now, last year I was like 20% Academic and my grades were the lowest they have ever been...I was not having a good year ( MLG was 40% last year as well). I had to cut back on it which is why I coach now instead of Playing, allows me to get more stuff done, and stay involved with what I like to do! ( And to tell ya the truth, Im living the Dream. [Except having a gf ATM lol]) That will hopefully change once I get some buck in the bank.

Also heads up!!!!
If you have a bad roommate, and or don't get along with them, don't wait to make a roomchange. I didn't make a room change my freshmen year and it royally screwed me over Academically.

After that hopefully go for 4 years at a higher ranked/more intense college for a skill set. (still undecided on what I fully want to do for a career)
