I didn't know what to title this thread accurately, but I'm somewhat experienced in TLN forums now and with such a great community there are great threads. Usually I navigate through the threads via the newest posts section on the homepage. Sometimes though there will be threads i stumble upon that have to do with topics I'd like to give input on but were stared a while ago, or before I was a member. I post my comment or what have you and wonder when will somebody else stumble on this thread and give me feedback or even see what I posted. Slash will I ever remember to check to see if anyone replied. So i was wondering if it would be "easy" to incorporate a section in my or everyones profiles that shows they're favorite threads for easy navigation, and to keep threads alive. Just a though.

If I am reading this correctly....

You can use the "subscribe to thread" feature of the forums to find out if someone has posted in a thread. To do so:

Click Thread Tools (at the top of the thread)
Subscribe to this thread
Change the Notification Type to your personal choice
(Personally I choose "Instant notification by email")
Click Add Subscription

Lemme know if you have any more questions!

Wish there were a notification type window where you could automatically get notifications, also if you want to stop them you have the option to stop notifcations from that thread. I do like the subscribed thread to email feature, but thats an extra step, IMO people like less steps to get the same result.

Very true. If you want, there is a central "control panel" for all of these types of notifications and you can have them show up there instead if you would like (default option). I do not believe you can do something like a Private Message where you can get a pop up as well as an email about it. Because my social networking application (as well as my phone) are constantly pushing updates to me I see everything almost instantly because of email. Anyways the subscriptions page is HERE (http://thelannetwork.com/forum/subscription.php). Again if I wasn't clear about anything I'd be glad to try and explain again.

EDIT: Forgot to include how to stop subscriptions. From the subscription page I linked to above:

Click the checkbox of the thread you no longer wish to receive subscriptions from
Go down to the bottom of the page
Click "▼ Selected Threads"
Select "Delete Subscription:
Click "Go"

Using this same method you can also edit how you want to receive your subscriptions. Hope this is of some help!
