In no way was I blaming him, I was basically saying if you signed up for this being accountable for it. My team doesn't know if we are playing today or what ever, I cant sit around to find out if their team is even teaming, if not forfeit.

That's kinda a big deal, but on top of that no one sent me any message that said I was assigned to anyone's team, and now all these posts are saying(appropriately) that if someone puts his name in, he should commit to playing. I think the lesson learned here is that tournments are like flights. You can't take off early because not everybody is ready and on board.

I think that Chicken needs to post a time and date for the matches, if they can't be played but can be postponed to a set time then thats fine but if not than that it should be up to his discretion to force a forfeit. All I know is that impatiently sitting around waiting to see if we might play one day in the next year isn't all that fun.

I've been sick all day so I haven't gotten a chance to come on. But here I am. I know it's not Morgan's fault, and I don't blame him at all, it's more his teammates fault.

And Justin, set times would never work. It's just not possible for it to work our perfectly. I mean I would rather have it that way, but it is just impossible.

Also, I am sorry to the teams that signed up late, but this tournament is already underway, and I will not restart it. This is my first tournament and I will learn from it and make the next one even better. But for now, the bracket is the bracket.

I think the tournament should be put on hold until Feb 15, and allow more teams to enter since the tournament hasn't progressed that far, or just add more to the losers bracket and put them in there.

This. Guys relax! The tournament is going to go on the way it is going! I don't know where all this craziness came from, but it's not going anywhere! The tournament is running fine, and it will continue to do so. Also, no teams will be replacing anyone, no complications with putting people in the loser's bracket, or any of this. This is not meant to be rude, but things have gotten a little crazy here!

I guess since Morgan has lost a team member, he really can't play, and I feel really bad and have a lot of sympathy for him because he was worked pretty hard with me to make it work out the best he can. But since he really doesn't have a team, I guess I don't really have any other options but to eliminate his team. And I feel really bad! But that is what I have to do.

But rest assured there is no way that I will be putting in a replacement team or postponing the tournament. I really don't know where any of this came from!

I agree with chickens in that the tournament should continue on the track its going. Team morgan is an unfortunate loss, but as for any other teams worrying as to whether or not they can play due to school, work, etc., remember that this tournament is lenient with match times, but please try to get the matches done ASAP.

I have full confidence in chickens that the 2nd tournament will run much smoother with dedicated match times and teams.
Also, for teams wanting to join, theres always the next one!

Alright guys once again I am really sorry for not giving more updates and what not but like I said, I have been really sick. I am starting to get better now though and I will be able to get on here more often! As for gametypes, I will provide gametypes for all the games, but if you would prefer to agree on them and just play, that is fine with me. But it is up to you!

Okay gametypes are up for all the current matches waiting to be played! Now let me elaborate on what I said before. If both teams don't want to play a certain gametype that was selected, they can choose to agree on a different map/gametype. However, if one team wants to keep a map and the other team wants to throw it out, the map will stay. Also, if both teams agree to change a map but then can not agree on a map to replace it on, the map will stay.

I will make this perfectly clear, teams are not allowed to replace a map/gametype with a map/gametype from V3!!! It must be V2 because that is how this tournament was drawn up to be played. Here are all the possible V2 gametypes.

not as far as I know, 2.1 Is just what they named the updated maps so they would play right in the playlist. ie. double rockets on countdown flag

Everyone in this tournament, I just want you to know that there IS a loser's bracket. I thought that everyone kind of knew this but I guess it wasn't that clear. If you look at the bracket, that bottom thing is the loser's bracket!! So make sure that you keep checking back here even if you lose! There has already been an occurrence where a team didn't know about the loser's bracket and they split up. So please make sure this doesn't happen again!

Do ya'll even realize that this has blown up to 40 pages of people constantly messaging "oh sorry i couldn't get on" and/or "wasn't it supposed to start later" I realize I'm not a part of this tournament but I am disappoint. Things like this seem to be doomed to fail if organized through these forums. Just my 2 cents.

I know that you have no way to know this but messages are constantly being sent out over the forums and over Xbox. So I keep everyone connected. I probably send at least 1 message to everyone daily so I keep people updated.

If you want to close this thread for posting reasons heuer, I see no problem with that. At all. As long as I could edit the first post. I would just continue communicating through messages.

Tourneys are just Hard cuz unless its 1v1 you cant count on getting everyone on. dont beat yourself up its just sometimes hard! :) i tried MO Madness and that was very hard. maybe we should try a 1v1 TLN tourney (i know 1v1 is not as fun) but its worth a try.

people shouldn't sign up for a tournament they know is going to be weird on times when they put a show (especially jersey shore) before it. if you want to watch tv watch tv, don't take time from people who want to play. PLEASE! not tryin to be a jerk, just reality of it. be respectful, ditching out on games for a tv show that airs so much is not a legit excuse in my opinion. we've had a member have a death in the family and he was still available to play. my team keeps putting off GB for this because it will be fun, but it is getting a little annoying now. play your games or don't sign up for the tournament, it's not fair to the teams who want to do this. none of you would do this for GB because it would just be a forfeit, treat it the same way. RagingChickens is putting a lot of his own time into this, let's help him out and do the easy part.

Officially taking my name out of this tournament. This has nothing to do with the way its been run (Chickens your doing all you can to get this going and I appreciate everything your doing). This is a personal decision, I don't see my team working well together and at this point I'm not going to continue to get frustrated over the ways things have gone down. The next tournament you put together I will think about doing and starting my own team, until then I'm playing for fun from now on until I can find the right set of guys. Thanks

Since all the confusion and such, why don't we restart the tournament and begin it at a later date. Get new teams, and teams that will be able to play and be available at certain times. Have the times and dates set for each round before teams enter so they can see if it works. Make each round "Must be played from 2/xx/2011-2/xx/2011 (maybe a 3 day window) on said time" and give a suggested date and time on the 3rd day. If a time can't be settled on between the 2 teams then the date listed will be the one used. If a team cannot be present at that time is will be a forfeit. It's tough, but that's the way it is going to have to be to make this work.
