ok i have a couple questions since I am new to the tln forums. I'm going to be a "free member" for a while since I don't really have a job or much income so I hope people don't look down on me lol

1. Is there any way to get notified if one of my posts gets quoted?
2. Is there any way to make a poll in a thread?

Answer to 1.
Yes and no. You may "subscribe" to a thread to let you know when a new post is posted in it.

How to "subscribe" to a thread:

You can use the "subscribe to thread" feature of the forums to find out if someone has posted in a thread. To do so:

Click Thread Tools (at the top of the thread)
Subscribe to this thread
Change the Notification Type to your personal choice
(Personally I choose "Instant notification by email")
Click Add Subscription




How to "stop" a subscription:

The subscriptions page is HERE (http://thelannetwork.com/forum/subscription.php).

From the subscription page I linked to above:

Click the checkbox of the thread you no longer wish to receive subscriptions from
Go down to the bottom of the page
Click "▼ Selected Threads"
Select "Delete Subscription:
Click "Go"


Using this same method you can also edit how you want to receive your subscriptions. Hope this is of some help!


Answer to 2.
Yes! When you post a new thread, there is a "Post a Poll" section below the main text portion. Check the box, enter the number of options you'd like, and when you click "Submit New Thread" you'll be taken to a new screen where you may enter your options! :)
