I want to see what you guys are into and maybe dive into to some nostalgia.

My favorite game of all time is hands down Kingdom Hearts. First time I got my hands on it I was at EPCOT in Disney World. They had a bunch of PS2 systems set up and there were a couple of stations that had Kingdom Hearts. I stood there for hours playing it while my family went around the park. I was so hooked and amazed at how well Square-Enix characters mixed with Disney characters. I decided I wanted a PS2 just for that game. I didn't get a PS2 until about a year and a half later but every time my family would go to EPCOT I would go directly to the PS2 setup.

Some people that haven't played KH automatically think its gay because it has Disney characters in it but it's truly an amazing game. I have played quite a bit of the second one (never got to beat it) but I wasn't liking it as much as the first.

Here is the opening CG cut scene. I drool over it and I want to get a PS2 and KH again.

The Final Fantasy series will always be a huge part of my childhood. I remember my older brother had the original japanese Famicom, and the first final fantasy. I was 4 years old, and still can't read a word of japanese, but I was hooked. I have beaten every FF game up to XI (never played it cuz I don't like MMO), and have beaten XII, and XIII as well. I don't really get into them as much anymore, but I still play them for nostalgia sake.

I suck at MegaMan so much. Those games are tough! I get impatient and die so many times. And I searched what a Yobo was I wish I still had my old cartridges cause a multisystem emulator seems awesome and handy.

Pokemon Red or Gold, and Crash Bandicoot.
I hit the jackpot one day when I was at the airport. This kid left his Gameboy Color carrying case and inside was Pokemon Red, Blue, and yellow, a mix of other games and a teal Gameboy Color. Later that night we bought a Gameboy Color for my brother. It was SO CA$H!

As for Crash, that was mostly what we played at my cousin's house. I also had great memories of CTR <3.

I love starting Final Fantasy games but sadly never get around to beating them. Maybe over Thanksgiving Break I'll plop down and finish one. Any recommendation (that I can easily use an emulator, maybe)? The first Final Fantasy game I played was actually a spin off and I was like 5 or 6 years old. It was FF: Mystic Quest for the SNES. It was cool and pretty much made for young kids.

Pretty much any old-style RPG on the Genesis/SNES/NES. I still like going on my NES and playing some original Final Fantasy. The game is incredibly fun still.

Sonic The Hedgehog, Herzog Zwei, Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, and others that I can't remember off the top of my head..

LOL! On the Misty subject: In (almost) every Pokemon episode that she's in you can see she has the hots for Ash but he's totally oblivious. Something that just makes it that much weirder is that they're 10. Well at least Ash is. I mean how much weird crap can we get from Japan? >_<

This is how to properly BUMP a thread. GJ visual.

OT: Chrono Trigger. One of the most incredible games in history. So advanced for its time. I'll never forget how good the graphics and music were. Oh, and Mario RPG. (Can you tell I was an RPG fan?)

They were hit by an atomic bomb in WW2. All that radiation had to have given them creativity super powers.

I cant wait 'till we have a nice long break to get back to some of these games. I want to play them but Halo Reach is out.

Halo 3, Halo 2, Call of Duty 4, Golden Sun, 007 Goldeneye, The Ocarina of Time, and more than I could list. Basically any game for the N64 and a select few 360 games are the best things ever made in my opinion.

What game did you have an amazing experience playing, it doesn't necessarily have to be what you think the best game ever made is, just based off of your personal experiences.

My Top 5
5. Portal

Portal was a game where I didn't know what was going on at the beginning. I didn't understand how the portals worked, and every time I figured something out I had to learn something new. It as a game I could show my family, (they have little interest in games) and they were definitely interested in it. Portal 2 looks really hard, and that is great news for me, I can't wait for it to come out.

4. Super Smash Bros. Melee

This game was perfect for my and my friends, we are all super competitive and were about the same skill level. After we were done playing outside, we would go to each others house and throw in some Melee. As we got better the games got much more interesting. We had Tournaments and everything. Great experience for me.

3. Star Fox 64

I was really little when I played this game, I remember beating this game so many times going through all of the different paths. They need to make another game just like this.

http://riddlethos.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/starfox64logo.jpg

2. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

I can't say enough about this game, It was an amazing experience going through it, figuring out everything and seeing this story play out. If you've ever played it you know what i'm talking about. if you haven't, find an Nintendo 64, download Project 64, do something Play this game.

1. Halo 2

It may not be the best game of all time, But It was the greatest experience I've had gaming, This game turned me into a hardcore gamer. I wouldn't be on this website if it wasn't for Halo 2. Halo 2 single-handedly Changed my life more than anything else.

Here would be mine

5. Unreal Tournament 99
The game that got me into gaming in general. Not to mention my finely honed FPS gaming skills at the age of 10! You should all be thankful that this game exists, because without it i don't think FPS would be where it is now.
http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/6664/231740-screen04_super.jpg

4. Dragon Age: Origins
Bioware did it again! A fantastic story driven RPG that lasts for more than 6 hours(Im looking at you Fable -.-) I love games that get me involved and actually give me a massive story and world to explore!
http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/kotaku/2009/08/dragon_age_delay.jpg

3. Half Life(All of them)
You may notice my Avatar is Gordon Freeman, thats just how awesome he is.
http://image.gamespotcdn.net/gamespot/images/2009/225/gordonfreeman03-Half-Life_2_PC_41733_640screen.jpg

2. Bioshock
Its just so awesome that i had the Tattoo's that the protagonist has on his hands put onto my own wrists. Image is of my Tattoo, You dont need to pay attention to the Binary code one just above it. Its the 3 linked chains on the wrist
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v653/210/114/688241069/n688241069_2649540_8615.jpg

1. Neverwinter Nights

Thats right, another bioware RPG... Nwn tells the story of Lady Aribeth and her protection of the City of Neverwinter against hordes of Undead/Magical creatures. Which will see you battling Dragons, Demons and even fighting your way through the City of Neverwinter while it is being beseiged by hordes of demonic creatures. If you have the 3 to spare and you want a fantastic game to play i urge you to get it. The community for it is amazing aswell. Mount' mount combat and over 6000 hours of extra content is available to play via cummunity made content. I also have a Nwn tattoo, but i have no pics of it atm.
http://grindingtovalhalla.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/neverwinter-nights.jpg

All very awesome games, and all games that are pretty old. Ive still not found a game that matched the Nwn experience even tho its over 8 years old

I think that Pokemon deserves some recognition for me because they took up a great portion of my childhood like most people's.

N64 had games like original smash bros, goldeneye, and mario kart 64 that i'd spend hours on end playing, and then you'd go over a friends house and destroy them, killing their self esteem.

Next for PS2, I really have to give credit to some underrated titles like Star Wars Battlefront and Mercenaries. Then GH2 was another big favorite of mine.

360- Gears of War was the love of my life for soooo long. Then H3, CoD4 (IMO Best shooter), and so on with MW2, GoW2. But i played games like RB, Fallout, Orange Box, BioShock, which all blew my mind.

Overall, I think my favorite game of all time is Call of Duty 4, and here's why. This is where my competitive gaming took off. We started taking it more seriously, playing gamebattles every now and then, having success in that and just wrecking kids online in public matches. The story mode was just such a great feeling when you beat those missions on Veteran, especially Mile High Club. I think another reason that I just love this game so much, was because I was pretty darn good at it and the skill definitely has transitioned over into MW2 as well as Black Ops. I really wish that I could have been as good at Halo as I was CoD because thats obviously where the popularity was.

I have put the most amount of time into the Halo games, so they are definitely up there. There are so many games that I am nostalgic about and love, going all the way back to Nintendo, and even my Apple IIGS and all the Sierra games. But if I had to pick one game, I would say Dragon Age is my favorite. It is pretty damn awesome in my book.

just this year alone i've beaten most of my favorite games. final fantasy 7-10, legend of zelda OoT, Pokemon Fire Red (just because it's newer, basically the same thing) and Resident Evil 4. I've also been playing halo 2 on XBC because it never gets old to me. And then there is world of warcraft which might be my favorite because of all of the people i've met and hours i've spent on it. (i've played for nearly 2000 hours, which is about 80 days play time.) Give me any of these games, and i'll gladly burn time!!

Mine would have to be GTA: SA for an offline game, there was so much to do for the time it was in. Even though the graphics were pretty bad the game was a blast and I loved the story line. To me it had a movie feel to it.

As for online games I would say the Halo series, I say the series because I love both 3 and Reach (never got the chance to play 2 or CE) and I wouldn't be able to pick between the two because they both have their pros and cons.
