XBL Silver Membership

A couple questions about Xbox Live Silver membership..:confused:

1. Is it possible to START a silver membership, rather than gold?

2. I know a silver allows communication with others on xbl, but no gameplay together, but can one host items on their FileShare?

I'm pretty sure you half to have Gold Membership to use your fileshare

It would be funny to create a mini-tage with me just 360 laser designating in campaign. Put it to some sick music. Yeah that would get some flamage lol.

To my knowledge yes you can make a silver membership, just go to crate profile then join XBL.

Second, yo can play H3 social playlist and maybe some Reach playlist, no you don't have access to fileshares.

You do not have access to fileshare when you are silver.

Well I just wanted to have a separate account to host certain maps. And mass message ppl on XBL.
