View Full Version : New map, need testers with constructive criticism

Hey guys, I've got a map I've been working on pretty much since reach came out, off and on, I wanted to have it ready for the map contest but I hit a creative block and just walked away from it. I've since revisited it and it's coming along nicely. Right now it's primarily a slayer map but I think ball works on it, but it has no flag spawns or bomb plants yet.

I need to see how the map flows, and I'd like to see the way people move around it, just to get an idea for weapon spawns and maybe help me decide on obj spawns and to make sure the respawns are sufficient.

I'd like to get some customs run on it from some resident and/or experience forgers just to brainstorm on ideas. Some of the forum goers have seen this map in its infancy and recently I showed it to some friends at a LAN and all have liked the visual of it, but there's never been any true gameplay on it, so thats what I need to get this thing nailed down.

I have been just playing with RL friends and hanging with my fiance lately. I am back though.
Kinda got on one of those forgers blocks for a while there.
Work is also picking back up lately so its been taking my time also.

i loved the map! if MLG made it into an mlg map, then they would make the map so that you cant fall off of it, and the top mid spiral thing as to be adjusted alittle cause of the rock jump problem that we had a hard time doing, so the leveling had to go down alittle, the sniper hall ways on both sides should be alot bigger and brighter, and overall i love the map! thanks for making me test it out, had a good time!

Thanks Tang, for looking at it with me.

Flik dropped by later and gave me some more good ideas, so the red/blue bases will undergo some tweaking, and I'll try to get the jump up to the top of the spiral fixed in the process.

I'm hoping to get my capture card fixed and once it's tweaked I'll get some good screenshots and post up either a walkthrough or some gameplay.
