My girlfriend just broke up with me after almost dating for 2 years. (She is one of those good nice girls) Before that we were best friends for 3 years. During those 3 years I had a crush on her and watched her date other guys. This past month, we're both taking extremely hard classes which comes with a lot of homework, she joined speech, I work 24+ hours a week, she worked more hours, we're both in band which requires morning practices often. She broke up with me and told me that she didn't think we were happy anymore. She told me she probably wouldn't date for a while due to being busy, and that she told me she wouldn't date for a while to try and help me get over her. We were one of those couples that ALWAYS got along, we hardly ever fought and if we did we resolved it very quickly. I asked her if she had any feelings for 2 of my friends and she said no. That was two weeks ago, she hadn't talked to me since yesterday. I called her last night wanting to sort some things out, and somehow she ended up telling me that she had already been on a couple dates with someone, 3 days after she broke up with me. She went on dates with one of my friends and now they're dating. So who should I feel more betrayed by? My ex-girlfriend? or my friend? I could explain the whole story on a lot better on live, but most people probably don't wanna listen to everything.. lol.

hey fire look honestly i have been there a lot so this has happened before and sadly it won't stop. the fact that she went out with a friend so soon actually makes me think is there is a bigger issue than the quickness of it . I think that she like your friend alot longer then she is letting on not saying that anything happened with them while you were dating but a spark might have started. I had a similiar thing happen to me i had a girl when i was in high school that we were on and off again all the time and after i finished we got engaged secretly since she was only a junior and her dad would flip. Sadly it ended about 7 months later and it was cause of distance and just hectic schedule well we still talked i missed her like crazy and a guy that really liked her but was friends with me slept with her knocked her up and there married (granted its a wierd marrige but not the point) now i was mad at her at first cause we agreed not to see anyone or even remotely entertain the idea of dating but then i started to realize that if she can move on this fast then she wasn't the right one for me (side note friends don't swoop in and start to date your ex its so not cool and can kill a relationship remember not all relationships last but true friends are always there for anything) but she is really doing you a favor she is showing her true self by lying and what not it exposes her. trust me man the right one is there just paitence and faith are the best advice i can give thats how i meet my wife (6 yrs august)=. also its not the ones that you can live with but the ones you can live with out that make life worth it. you need to know that person will stay in the fox hole with you no matter what. if you ever need to talk my im is in my profile page

Bro, get rid of your friend. That is the number one friend rule. That's a f***in backsmack. Honestly, Just hearing your story brought back memories of a similar experience I had. In which I beat the living f*** out of my "friend"
for doing a similar thing. I told the girl it was her choice, And though she DID want me back, I stopped talking to her. It's better you don't even associate yourself with her because as friends, you'll be tempted to want her back. You'll take her And history WILL repeat itself. Trust me. horrible people, both of them, they'll probably grow up sooner or later, but you don't want to be the guy who gets stomped all over in the process.

My engagement was just broken off while i was in germany, and i was very very sick (still am) and while i was at rock bottom she just had to end it. While i couldn't talk to her in person or anything. I loved that girl with all my heart. About 6 months ago however we had a brief falling out b/c of some things about distance (army training) and 2 days before we split up (it was going to happen) i kissed someone and she knows i did it. so i cheated i'll admit it. i really feel like a complete and utter piece of shit right now, and i have nothing at all over here. i have no one to talk to no friends nothing. i feel very numb now and nothing is making anything better. this was the girl i wanted to marry w/o a doubt she makes me very happy and i know i do the same but she has some depression issues, and stress comes to her really easy. Thanks a lot Gweedo, and I'm glad to here that you and your wife are doing well. Especially with the divorce rate being so high and what not. I think that people should be working harder to "make it work" so to speak, because after you work through it, it usually ends up being just as good as when you first met. After all a lot of our parents did it, and even more of their parents stayed together. I'm sure you and your wife have a great thing going and you should try your best to make sure that doesn't end.
