Okay! Well the title of this thread basically says it all. BUT, I would like to ask the TLNC what is the funniest, worst, weirdest thing you've ever heard a guy say to a girl when he was randomly teamed with her in Halo?

My weirdest moment was when a guy said "Hey, it's a girl! I'm goi-" That's all he said he cut off his mic, and didn't talk the whole intire game. When the game ended he said "You're pretty." Um? Okay. Lol.

The most common one is "Go make me a sammich!" Or "Go back to the kitchen!" I don't know if this one is common but "I never knew girls had an xbox in their kitchen." That made me LOL. I have a lot of other moments, probably to many to type, but I've learned to just sit there and laugh everytime this happens. xD

So yes, please share these moments you've heard. B/c I know there's not many girls on TLN to ask this, so I know you guys have heard at least one thing like this happen!

And, yes, but when they don't think that, I mute them as fast as a kid runnin' from a guy with a shotgun! Well.. when the person running doesn't have any ammo that is.

As we all know girls get a hard time on XBL. I came across this site last week where girl gamers post the garbage that men (boys) send them online:

http://fatuglyorslutty.com

Warning the content is mostly immature bile.

Let's face it you've been playing XBL as long as I have you hear stuff that is way to vulgar for this website (Because here at TLN we pride ourselves in being a different type of forums with an exceptional community, we are raising the standards for internet forum sites) :D

Oh ladies, I apologize or I am guilty of making insensitive remarks to girl gamers over xbl, of course I read that article and I never said anything quite as offensive as that. I think its the shock and excitement a lot of boys feel when they see a girl participating in their favorite hobby they can't help but be idiots. It's definitely something we should all work on.

I like getting paired up against guys that are going into matchmaking with a lady friend or two, so they feel the need to act like a BAMF before the game starts and talk crap the whole time we're in the lobby while their lady friend(s) giggle. You know what I like about it? The part where they proceed to get stomped on throughout the game and then it's your turn to give the trash talk that you can actually back-up after the game. However, that trash talk is directed to the dudes.

But besides that, it really irks me when I hear any of my friends on XBL that I'm running games with being an inconsiderate jerk to the girls online. It's awesome to see girl gamers competing at a high level and taking video games seriously. I respect it and I wouldn't bash them while they're doing something they love (or anytime for that matter).

@impended
I understand what your saying but I dont even thing or treat girls like they are their own groupe or kind on xbox. It just falls down into majority and the factor of how common they are. Girls should take games seirously but im not going to say I will respect them even more then a guy taking it seirously. I think that treating them like gods just because they play games makes the gap between girls and boys bigger. Buts thats just my opinion

In no way am I treating them like 'gods'. My point is that I give them props for doing something seriously in a field where it's VASTLY dominated by guys. To deal with the crap they deal with on the reg from gamers and still play. Even Maniac called Shelly in matchmaking some words I wouldn't repeat on here.

I remember each time Michelle Wie tried qualifying for a PGA event. It was such a big deal to the sports community, and it was for good reason. The girls can show what they got against the guys and they don't need to be separated in certain sports, activities, etc. They work their butts off to improve just like everyone else, yet they receive the most crap because they're females. In no way am I treating them like 'gods' or over-glorifying them. Just because I give someone respect for persevering through ridicule doesn't mean I think they're a 'god'.

And I didn't say I don't respect guys... So I'm not sure where you're reading this. I think you're misinterpreting my post. I respect all of the pros for what they've done. Especially pros like T2, Ogre 2, and Walshy because they came into this scene when... well let's be honest, when it wasn't even a 'scene'. They made sacrifices (especially T2) and it has paid off for them.

Thus, just because you respect something someone does, doesn't mean you hold them at some higher standard.

Sorry, I must have taken your post wrong. I do respect them more because they are subject to more abuse over xbl and I dont think its fair. I wa a just sayin that they should be treated the same. <3

I've done that before! It was so funny, because I had a horrible day that day and then the kid decided he wanted to say something and so i went off on him like never before xD but then he shut'd up.

You pretty much stated everything I wanted to say. I think its awesome when I get matched against or a with a girl in matchmaking. Gaming seriously isnt just for guys but we make up the vast majority of the community. So seeing girls in the scene is great.

I never say anything bad or trash talk a girl in game or the lobby, its cool seeing some diversity in the game now. A couple weeks ago my friends and I got matched up against Shelly and a couple other names I knew, we got beat pretty bad for most of the game but came back to win in the end. Either way the game went it would have been a good game no matter who we were playing, win or lose.

I don't see a difference really between a girl or a guy gamer. I don't giggle like an idiot and try to act like a BAMF like Impended said most the people he said he sees (which I agree with him on that 100%). I treat them like anyone else and I think that's how they should be treated. I never talk trash to anyone. I don't see the big deal in people talking trash to girls though, they do it to guys all the time. Yeah it's about different things but isn't 90% of trash talk bull sh*t anyways? It's certainly rude to call someone out on their gender, however it rude to call someone out on anything really so I don't see how it sticks out more then anything. Guys are stereotyped as fat white people who sit at home all day in a basement. I'm sure all the guys in here have been told they've have no life at some point or another. To me thats stereotyping as well. I don't see what the difference is between girl and guy gamers. They both get trash talked over different things that are usually stereotypes and not true.

Moral of the story: Guys and girls on the internet get treated bad in different ways, but bad none the less. It's the internet. It's not a friendly place most of the time.

I watching a friend on mine on Halo 3 and he got matched up against a team of girls. Someone on his team decided to talk trash to all the girls on the other team "back to the kitchen" and things that i won't repeat here. The team of girls decided to stomp this team and get some steak in the process. I think the trash talking kid lasted maybe half the game.
