It would not make sense to him to be assassinated...I mean they just fought to get him out of office, so assassination would be completely unnecessary. To be honest, if that were to happen it would ruin everything they worked for.
On another note...this is in the PC Gaming/Strategy section...is this a PC title I haven't heard of yet? ;)

Why would it be against everything they worked for? Some of these protests were violent. I wouldn't be too surprised if it happened.

Move it to off topic
I think if they killed him they can blame it on one side and start the fight again its a power struggle and that could sway things.

Because Mubarek is out of office. Yes, there was violence involved but why continue a struggle that is over now? Killing him isn't going to make things any better, and theoretically could destabilize Egypt even further. If someone had wanted him dead then it'd make sense to do so while he's in office, not after he's been ousted. Just my thoughts.

it puts them back in the phase of destablizing so thoes who wanted him to stay can fight and say look what happened.

I dont think so, maybe when he was in power but how many former presidents have been assassinated compared to current ones still in office? A couple weeks ago I wouldve said if he dosent step down, but comes outside then yes

@ Havkin. Touche sir. haha. I guess I was thinking in terms of those who had ousted him, and not those who had defended him. In that case, its a real problem and hopefully it doesn't revert back to violence.

yeah i feel as if one side would kill him in spite then waging war. Civil war is the bloodest and can really hinder a Nation or Country. i only hope Egypt can become stable or the US loses a great ally and Israel becomes in danger.

This thing with Mubarak, he has been in office for 32 years. and a Dictator that has been in power that long will not go silently.
He recently gave a statement saying that he is going to step down in September, if a war hasn't started before than i will be amazed if he actually goes.

WW3 will be more of a battle of the Middle East i really feel like it will be fought due to Israel being the last remaining Jewish Nation besides Jordan. in the Middle east it will be a "holy War"

Is it really ethical to be talking about if someone is going to get killed or not? lol
Anywho, he resigned which was one of the main reasons for the riots so I don't see anything happening to him

idk it seems that if he actually does step down and gtfo he will be fine. if not he will start a revolution. then everyone in the middle east and northern africa will pick sides, then if it starts to effect everyone in the southern europe they will pick sides. and we all know america loves it some war so we will jump in balls first. idk i just see a cluster fuck in the future, if he doesnt step down.

lol i just thought of something...2 dictators, sudam hussein and muBARAK have been removed from power in the past decade. BARACK hussein obama has a part of the 2 dictators names in his. That is pretty weird
and obama and osama are similar also will he be next??

I was asking myself the exact same question before I posted, and maybe its not 100% ethical but it is a good point to bring up. Regardless of which side walks away victorious, its still semi-worrying to know that if something happened to Mubarek then it could restart the violence within Egypt. I'm an American and I've wondered how much stake we have dealing in other countrie's affairs, but I'm hopeful that it can end peacefully and that the Egyptian people win overall.
@inheritor13
Obama's name is just that...a name. I'm conservative in my beliefs and his views and mine collide at times, but I think that overall his job is secure. He would have to pull a Nixon to lose his job in the White House, and honestly he's done nothing wrong...political views aside that is. My advice is, if you don't like him being in Office then be sure to cast your vote in 2012 and do your part to be heard. :)

I really like how you responded to this thread. According to my analogy, however, it would be the fall of osama (possibly the capture) which would represent the other part of obamas full name. It's pretty crazy talk and definitely can be thought of as having no REAL relation. I'm just questioning whether there is some possibility of a true correlation. Logically, i doubt it though just like most of you.
and i knew obama would get elected in 08, since i first heard he was a possible candidate i had guessed that he would win it all and i was correct. I honestly have no idea what 2012 will be like though..

When he loses, he will expose himself as the anti-christ and then one month of chaos will follow until the world ends on December 21st. lol jk I'm not Glenn Beck :)

lol i think i was watching glenn beck when i made this thread....and it's IF he loses but what about IF he wins....hmmmmm lol. ANNNNNDDDDD as stupid as this may sound, the reason i thought he would win (as soon as i heard his name) were the hints from past "prophets" that i had heard which give clues to his name. That DOES sound really stupid but somehow it led me to the right conclusion (that's all i'm saying). .

I have yet to see a GOOD republican candidate for 2012. Obama's re-election is more than a possibility.

Partially my fault, sorry.
Anyway, yeah I doubt he will be assassinated now. He has stepped down which was the people's only demand. Assassinating him now would just be beating a dead mule. If he didn't step down, well that is a whole different story.

Umm, I'm not really sure, if he does get assassinated then he obviously wasn't taking things to seriously. I'm gona say No
I say no. If he is and Egypt's army acts against the people the United States most likely stop funding them. The army is key to the whole thing. They are not under control of anyone, they pretty much can do whatever they feel is best for egypt
