Scheduling
For scheduling, this is how it will work. Every match will be scheduled for 9 o'clock on Monday night. Every week. From that point, I will talk to all the teams and all the teams will talk to each other, ON THAT MONDAY, to see if that time will work or not. Whichever team can't make it, or has more players that can't make it, will have to use a reschedule. Each team will be granted 3 reschedules per week. If matches are not completed or being played by 12:00 AM on Monday morning, the team who used the most reschedules will forfeit the match. This time, I am not messing around with scheduling. If the match can't be played on Monday at 9 o'clock, a reschedule MUST be used and both teams must agree on a time to play. That is the most important part so I will repeat it. If the match can't be played on Monday night at 9 o'clock, you must reschedule the match for a specific time and day and you must let me know. Everything you do, you should be letting me know about. i.e. who used the reschedule, when it was rescheduled for, and so on.

Matches can be played before these times, on this week, if both teams can be on at the same time. I do not expect to see that happen though and I will expect to matches to start on the dates above.

I chose this date for a reason. I wanted to basically allow everyone a week to know that the tournament is starting and just allow everyone to kind of get into the groove of things. If teams can find a time to play in the week between March 1st and the following Monday, (which I don't expect to happen), they can certainly play. But I chose a Tuesday so everyone could prepare.

with an odd amount of team you cant simply just seed them against eachother because it would mess up the bracket as a whole.

Bracket is up and matches CAN start being played, despite the fact that it isn't scheduled. If all 4 members of both teams happen to be on at the same time, the match can be played, but otherwise the tournament will begin on March 7th.

Hey just as a suggestion, even though it might sound dumb haha, with the best of eleven series, how you have the host set up right now means that if only six games end up being played the higher seeded team will get to host 4 out of the six games, so I was just thinking maybe for the best of eleven it should switch every three? I was thinking of doing this, but it just seemed like a really long span of time for me, I am not sure about it really. That wasn't dumb at all! I might actually change that before the championship series, who knows.

Also guys, make sure everyone looks at this often. Some teams didn't know they didn't have a match and I don't want that to happen again.

Yeah I kind of decided to do the baseball playoff rules. It's kind of funny though that that is how we both arrived at our solutions :) And like you said, it doesn't matter that much, I just have it that way in case people ask.

You know how the tournament is run and how it it set up, don't sign up if you know you can't or don't want to really play in it. Looking at the bracket there are 3 matches that were forfeit wins. My team is one of them, but not on purpose. We tried multiple times to have our match scheduled and just couldn't make it work. Our LBR1 is a possible forfeit now as well and from how it sounds the other WBR3 match may be too. This is disrespectful to RagingChickens and the TLN community who is involved. Let's show some respect next time and help make this a fun and great tournament instead of a headache. And on my post, yea it's just annoying dealing with it. I can only imagine what Chickens is dealing with, I only need to worry about one other team at a time lol. This way if there is a ban maybe people won't just join to join, regardless if they think they'll be able to play or not.

I lied.

I just wanted to let you all know that the TLN Tournament that is going on right now has been cancelled. Out of the 7 teams still in the tournament, there are basically 6 inactive teams. I have come to the realization that a 4v4 tournament is not possible to arrange unless there is a cash prize or some other kind of motivation. I am sorry to the people who have worked hard along side of me with this tournament, I have let you down.

However, after seeing Cheeky's success with the 1v1 SC2 tournament, I am going to be hosting a 1v1 Reach tournament. I really hope that you guys all decide to join this, it will be a lot of fun. Once again though, I am sorry to all of you and I hope I can be more successful in the future.

You didn't fail. The people who said they will join failed. Not attempting to set up matches, no communication at all. People joining when they can't play at the times specified. Was a waste of everyone's time by joining just to join. Like I have said before it's a respect thing. Show some respect for the people putting time in to trying to make this work for the community. To those who did ignore match date requests, or dropped out, or just didn't care after you joined, you are what's wrong with people in the world today. No regard for anyone else but yourselves. Sorry if this gets anyone upset, but respect is a big thing with me. And many of you showed you aren't mature enough to show any. This shouldn't have been a hard thing to pull off, with a week to play each match, yet people made it a big headache. Between people doing what they did in this tournament, Invictus leaving the LAN without notice. Guess Chickens is right, if there is no prize no one cares. Very selfish by those who I have described in this post.
