Why do so many people think they deserve a sponsorship

I mean i'm not trying to be an a hole but it is seriously annoying whenever i hear people say they need a sponsor. I've seen SO many threads just asking for a sponsor. I mean okay i'll give you this, i bet there is 1 company in the whole world that will be willing to sponsor you and if you are extremely lucky you will possibly find it.

A TLN and/or MLG thread won't be what gets you a sponsor. I mean not all pro teams have sponsors, and most pro teams would like to get a sponsor or add one. If a company really wanted to sponsor an mlg team, don't you think they would try to get a pro team or at least a top am team? I mean i know SK's team needs a sponsor don't u think most companies would prefer to sponsor a FULL team of 4 with members that have done well in tournaments

If a company, for some far out reason, decided to go to mlg pro website to find an mlg team to sponsor, and looked at the forums, and read your thread saying you want a sponsor then maybe your luck would be amazing. But then they would most likely ask why you deserve this sponsorship and 99% of the people would not deserve it. SO NO

That is true, but some teams actually deserve a sponsor, and when they try and find one they never do.
Then teams who don't deserve one get one, and that's just wrong b/c other teams ACTUALLY deserve it.

The more TRUE answers you have, the higher probability you will have to be tried out for this position.

1. T/F: I have a strong desire to become a professional halo player.
2. T/F: I had at least one (legit) MLG 50 in halo 3
3. T/F: I am willing to do my part to optimize team chemistry
4. T/F: I am not a stat whore
5. T/F: I realize that stats can be very misleading
6. T/F: I typically put up huge stats
7. T/F: I do not get overly mad when i get destroyed in a game
8. T/F: I try to use the perspective of what I can do differently in a game to make my teammate do better, rather than blame him when he is "playing bad"
9. T/F: I can keep my composure in game very easily
10. T/F: I don't strive for top 16, I strive for 16 times better than top 1
11. T/F: I put the necessary time in to be a pro and based on the amount of time I have put in thus far, I feel like I should already be pro
12. T/F: I am physically attractive. If I'm ugly then I have a good personality meaning I am a lot of fun. Or either I can beat people up. I like to party
13. I am WILLING to put more time into planning than practicing.

Just like in every sport, if you want a sponsor you have to earn it. Some sponsors require almost nothing to get where as others will be forever out of reach. No pun intended. If you are not Pro and you want a sponsor there is only a few things you can do to get one. 1. Have connections with someone to get you one. 2. Ask companies in your local area and hope they're willing to give you a shot. Finally, 3. Tough it out, Play hard, and make a name for yourself and the sponsors will come to you.

Nothing is Free in this world. You have to work for it.

This is a gaming community and sponsorships are a part of gaming. I dont think anyone is ever going to get a sponsor by just making a forum thread but i dont think it should be flamed either.

I don't think its wrong for people to post threads on forums trying to get a sponsor and how they feel that they deserve it. Its not for me to say who deserves it and who doesn't. So if they someone does end up with one because of that...then great for them. But I do agree that there are top teams out there that don't have sponsors that would "deserve" it more. But everyone has to put in the work to reap the benefits of what they do, things shouldn't just be handed out to everyone that asks for them.

More about the to2: We are both really good, we have both had mlg 50s in halo 3. We both want to go pro. My teammate has had a good amount of success in 1v1s beating top players such as aptitude and making it to the gb front page on many different occasions. I am very smart and have had academic success outside of halo. Also, I can see what it takes to win and I have the desire and ambition.

ok so i just read this kids other post, and i have to say this is the most ridiculous, shallow, and douchey posts ever. you actually dont trust ugly people. not only is this an incredibly shallow thing to say, there is no way to even classify ugly when beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
