But, he is without doubt the best American player in the world. No one has even come close to his level of passion and determination inside Korea. It is a shame i wont get to see him play anymore :(

Glad to see Idra making this decision. Hopefully he will be able do what he thinks will happen, and really help SC2 take off in America.

I'm pretty sure that is why IdrA is moving back to the US.

So is SC2 going to get huge in here America? If not I don't understand why he would move back. Would he make more money in this All Star League than he would in Korea?

Well Mr Chicken's
Check this out, if you think that he is making enough money in Korea
http://img.gomtv.net/imgdata/20839.bmp
He can make more money just by competing in the MLG competitions. Let alone all the other ones that are about TL Open, MLG, IEM Etc. And with iNControlL's big announcement i can see him being much better off than that.

Pretty big decision but hopefully this will help boost the game in America.

If this is true I wonder what it will mean for MLG's SC2 scene, I could actually see it growing as long as this new league is a pro only sort of thing and the players have time to attend MLG events

Given that chart, I'd say this is a very smart decision for him. He can earn well over 5 times that just playing in MLG.

So basically, he isn't good enough for Korea?

well because the way prize money goes down exponentially from 1st place its better to be the best in north america than the 16th best in the world, money wise

I will be able to watch him for one weekend every 2 months, Instead of watching him 3 or 4 times a month

Right but YOU said "it is a shame I won't get to see him play anymore" which confused me. If you had said "it is a shame I won't get to see him play as often" I wouldn't have been scratching my head. :D

I wish MLG events were 3 to 4 days every month. Then people could seriously make a living gaming in America.

SOme updates,
Apparently IdrA is being DEPORTED From korea for his consistent Bad Mannering
http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=193680
This Quote was taking from the latest State of the Game podcast
Despite his trolling prowess, IdrA is not immune to trolling as he agreed to move in with Bryce “Machine” Bates when he returns to the US, only to be later informed that their other roommate is a 45-year-old porn enthusiast. IdrA could not be reached for comment.
For those of you who cannot tell, this is a joke ;)

Freaking crazy. 9 thousand pages! you gotta work pretty hard to be that direspectful.
And i didn't know you could be deported in Korea for even being that way, thats just the cake right there.
But someone help me out here with this
The Emperor, BoxeR,
Now i am very very new to the starcraft scene. But BOXER was for a time period the single best starcraft player in the world correct? However he no longer is any more right? (several players toggle back and forth for top dominance yes?)
But whats with the Emperor piece? Although its gotta be pretty pimp to be so wicked that you can be arrested for being talked badly about.
Interesting about the Artosis/Idra show though. I've been watching and I didn't find it incredibley offensive, although yes a little opiononated but what would you expect. Again pretty surprised that it was considered offensive to talk about imbalance of a game.

So, BoxeR has been a dominant Sc:BW player with over 500 televised wins in Korea. He is the only person to ever win 2 WCG Grand finals. First player to win 2 Consecutive OSL's.
He was so dominant for about 6 years in BW, so he gained his Emperor status for real. He has been having some medical problems since starting Sc2, playing 12 years of Starcraft 14 hours a day he has wrecked his back muscles and it is something he is having to deal with atm. So we can hope he will become the Emperor again, but he is now 30. Pretty old for a Pro gamer.

That's what the Korean public named him after all his wins and television appearances

I had been following SC2 harcore for a while and kinda stopped. I didn't know Idra was coming back to the states. Idra will defiantly be in the top 5 MLG players. Im sure he will be attending all of them.

you think HuK will come back? Do you think that MLG will make SC huge and move people to the States?

To be honest MLG is only one small reason anyone would move back. The NASL will be the main reason.
Finally visted the site again. Watching the intro... "Live from LA" .... "$400,000"
Me: WHAAA?!
Definitely looking forward to it.
