Hey guys, I know most of you are into music. I used to be in a band that had potential to go big, and we were popular on a local level. But we eventually dissolved for some stupid reasons.
Now how about posting one or a few of your favorite bands/solo artists that are still on a local/regional level (as far as popularity) from your area?

My buddies from high school have a band. They are called Striker. They sound like Old School 80's Thrash Metal. They ended up signing a record deal in Europe and have been playing in some of the music festivals over there.

A local solo artist that I absolutely LOVE is Cameron Blake. He plays piano with some other instruments accompanying, really great stuff. His genre is alternative.

This may not be exactly what the OP was asking for, but my brother had a band that broke up last year. They were pretty damn good. Northern Michigan just didn't have much of a Hardcore/Dreamy scene.
