Im hosting a Texas LAN during spring break, right before Dallas. And im having trouble finding a venue to hold a 2 day LAN where 20-30 people can crash. Just need an open space with carpet. Any suggestions?

I would say check out some local town halls, I live in NY and a lot of the time we use the different city town halls for stuff like that. They are usually relatively inexpensive and have at least one large main room that would be good enough to fit 30 people comfortably. Just have everyone bring their own sleeping bags blow up mattresses and whatever else. Also sometimes small hotels have banquet halls that you can rent out and if you have 20-30 people attending you might be able to get a group rate that would make rooms more affordable for people to stay in.
Just some ideas that I have seen people use before. Hope you can get your LAN set up.

Maybe in the yellow pages or search throughout hotel places that would let you use the space.

Local schools are the best for this, especially if you actually attend there.

Well the hotel banquet hall might be a good idea, but not the school, they wouldnt let you stay over night.

school won't let you stay overnight? That sucks, it's where most of the stuff happens around here. Yet we are a pretty small town.
