MLG Expansion

I have heard increasing rumours again that MLG is trying to spread itself around the globe (well at least not limiting itself to america), and heard that they would be hoping for events in the UK in 2012.

Is there any truth behind this?

Sorry if its a stupid question not really been keeping up with it much :P

Thanks, this does help a lot and lets me see why people go crazy and where these internet rumours are coming from. Glad i came on TLN and asked, i probs woulda got flamed on the MLG forums lol.

Quote straight out of the article. It is 100% true that they are looking to take events globally. However, it's not been stated (to my knowledge) that there will be a UK event in 2012.

Hopefully MLG does come to Uk though would make going to an event a loss let expense for me lol

I'm sure lots of players would like that. I'm looking forward to MLG making gaming the awesome esport it is in other countries around the world.

I'm almost certain they will have an event in the UK, it seems like the most logical place outside of the US to hold one.

I think it would be good if MLG did expand to other countries. For me I wish there was like an MLG T.V. channel(don't know why i brought it up) but they had like all kinds of videos, plsu the tournys and maybe even work with TLN to stream the LANs on TV. I think it would be cool, probably would cost a lot but maybe a future thing :D

I believe Sundance confirmed UK events in the State of the Game podcast a couple of weeks ago.

mlg will have events in europe, but i think they're going to be for just european competitors. i think mlg will stay the same for the US, but have a european league and events separate from the American league.

I think it would be good if MLG did expand to other countries. well i think it goes without saying that MLG is a really big up and coming sport and I think that soon it will be a world-wide phenomenon its exciting to be on the verge of something really big

just integrate the circuits and have it worldwide... therefore there would be more teams, more prize money, and I think it would take mlg to the next level

if they end up going worldwide theyre going to have to up the prize money to make it worth it for the pro players to travel around the world
