So, what do you guys think about the pre-season so far? My Rams took down the Pats! Sam Bradford has a chance to be the best thing for us in awhile. Also, Texans over Dallas!

Blah Cowboys to take it all :) ha thats a long shot but i wish.
I'm not a huge NFL follower. However I'm in love with College Football and like to see how well all of the new players do in the NFL. I'm glad to see Sam Bradford doing big things after getting hurt in College.
Also; Forefront has any rookie been doing good in the pre-season games?

I totally stop paying attention to football when the off-season comes, and even through the pre-season. However, once the regular season starts, I drive home every Sunday to watch my Tampa Bay Buccaneers play. I have to drive home because my dad has NFL Sunday Ticket (which is the greatest thing ever). I'm looking forward to my Bucs playing well this year. The NFC South has had this weird habit the past several years where the team that placed 4th in the division the previous year, went on to place 1st the following year. That's good news for Tampa! Lol. (:

I'm actually an NFL talk radio show host at school. Every highly-drafted rookie running back has looked markedly effective so far, although against vanilla defenses it's debatable how meaningful that is. Those guys are CJ Spiller, Jahvid Best, Ryan Matthews, and, more surprisingly, Kareem Huggins. As people have noted, Bradford looked impressive against my own New England Patriots in his first preseason start. There are a bunch of other rookies off to promising starts so far: LB Brandon Spikes (NE), S Earl Thomas (SEA), DE Greg Hardy (CAR), OC Maurkice Pouncey (PIT), WR Mike Williams (TB), TE Rob Gronkowski (NE), CB Trevard Lindley (PHI)... the list goes on and on. This year's rookie class was touted as one of the deepest and most talented in the last two decades and there is so far little evidence that such a statement was wrong.

That's good. Just keep me updated. I'm going to try to follow C.J. Spiller closely. I've always liked him in College but I didn't believe he would be that much a threat as RB in the NFL. KR = yes but I can't wait to see how he starts playing since he will start to get a lot more carries because of the injuries on his team.

I definitely agree with the three rookie RB's mentioned having a great opportunity to make an impact now. In terms of fantasy football I've seen all three go in the first 2 rounds in redraft leagues, with Matthews usually taken at the end of the 1st round. I think including Huggins, these RBs have the potential to match or even surpass the rookie RB class of 2008.
Also, being a big Cowboys fan I feel the need to mention Dez Bryant among the rookie elite. :) Go Cowboys!

Yeah speaking of Dez Byrant who destroyed my bulldogs in season opener a couple of years ago.. I've always liked him when he was on OSU; I'm glad to see he's doing big things in the NFL.

Can you feel it!?! It's finally here!!
After a relatively boring sports summer (aside from MLG of course!) the NFL season is finally upon us. In the fantasy world I am in two leagues this year. I have been commissioner of my main league for 5 years now and my second league is a first year dynasty. I'm hoping both my fantasy teams and the Dallas Cowboys will have great years and all make it to the playoffs!!
Tonight I'm expecting a high-scoring N.O. Saints team to really pour it on Mini. I'll be rooting for the Vikings but it doesn't look great with Favre's favorite receiving option (S.Rice) out for up to 10 weeks. We'll see how Percy Harvin, Bernard Berrian and co. handle the pressure as they wont be able to rely on Peterson alone to match the scoring power of the Saints.

The Vikings are going to have a lot of trouble if that offense doesn't improve. Phil Loadholt was severely overmatched by Alex Brown, never mind Will Smith when he tried to slide to LT. Sidney Rice was really sorely missed. Same with Chester Taylor; Albert Young is clearly not the answer as a number two back.
On the flip side, Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans manhandled the Vikes D-line all game. Nicks in particular had one of the best guard games you'll ever see.

So, how are we enjoying the season so far? I have been thoroughly entertained. Last weekend was killer. Staub was the guy to watch on Sunday I felt. Other quarterbacks did just as well, but he did it in an exciting game. Also, MNF was awesome. I would have never guessed that SF would have almost won it. That last drive in regulation was incredible. It reminded me of the old school Broncos. Smith could be amazing.

I'm going to have to disagree with you, forefront. The Eagles were the most exciting team, to me, last Sunday. Vick's first start in four years coupled with the fact that the game was down to the wire made it so exciting. The Eagles almost choked at the end but they were able to pull it out.
Vick starting against the Jaguars. Can't wait. :D
Also, Falcons vs. Saints to be an insane game on Sunday.

I'd like to say that the Falcons just pulled a bunch of magic tricks out of their butt in order to win yesterday. They did not deserve that win, and the fact that they are struggling against the youngest team in the NFL who was playing with a bunch of EVEN YOUNGER back-up rookies is comical. They're supposed to be the best team in the NFC I thought.
Tampa's the better team. GG Tampa. <3

next year buccs to take nfc south. they will be good.
8 wins against Clev (5-8), 2X Car (1-12), Cin (2-8), Stl (6-7), Ari (4-9), SF (5-8), Was (5-8)
5 losses against Pit (10-3), NO (10-3), 2X Atl (11-2), Bal (9-4)
Though they will end up most likely 10-6 this season all the victories they had came against sub .500 teams had had no victories against quality teams to show they are good enough to compete for the playoffs. Next years schedule isn't going to get much easier either.
Their division of Atlanta, New Orleans, and Carolina twice each
Green Bay, Minnesota, Detroit, and Chicago
Indy, Jax, Tennessee, and Houston
Most likely Washington and SF (could be Dallas and Seattle though pending on final 3 weeks)
This year they got to feast on an easy schedule this year by getting the NFC west Next years conferences they play are all around a bit more tougher, and while they should improve with experience I don't think they are going to win 10 games next year or make it to the playoffs with the division they are in
Btw I was super bored and yes I know how the schedule system works I can almost guarantee that to be the schedule they get next year :)

@Rasha: The two games they lost bad were at the very very beginning of the season. That team was just starting to learn this game (they're still in the process, don't get me wrong). Besides those two games, they have been in every single game. You have to remember... this is a team that has an average of 25.... let me repeat.... TWENTY-FIVE. They are learning this game still. You have not watched the Buccaneers all season. They were in that Ravens game up to the last second. They were in both Falcons game (they lost by literally one yard in the first game and then they gave away the game a week ago). And the game they played a week ago against the Falcons, they didn't have their starting safety, pro bowl corner, 2 offensive linemen, and our defensive lineman. Thus, we had to replace young players with even YOUNGER players... and we still should have won that game.
You act as if we've been getting blown out by good teams.. that happened twice, and they were both at the very beginning of the year. We have two rookies as our 2 starting WRs, a rookie starting at RB, 2 rookies on the O-line, a 2nd year QB, and then another 2nd year O-lineman. Our defense is all young guys too.
We have Gerald McCoy out for the season (our star 1st round pick for the D-line), Aqib Talib out for the season (best corner in the league), Cody Grimm out for the season (our starting safety), Quincy Black out for the season (our starting weakside linebacker). Then on offense we have 3 people on our offensive line (all starters) out. The Bucs are working with what they can, and STILL competing with VERY good teams.
If you want to use the logic you're using, we can go ahead and say, "oh no! the ravens got beat by the B E N G A L S at the beginning of the year!"... the Ravens are bad!! However, they're not.
