MLG Map Submission

Forged by: TLN NITRO

Background

On the outskirts of Athens, was a place where the greatest warriors of all time came together to fight, Kratos. �Kill or Be Killed� was the motto of Kratos. Warriors would train their entire lives to fulfill the greatest of achievement, live to fight another battle. For centuries, Kratos, was known for epic battles where only few would come out unscathed. For those great warriors who lived to tell their stories, trained the next Great Warrior and that is how the legend of Kratos carried on.

This map is heavily based off my first Halo Reach map, Archos. It is a symmetrical map with two bases with highly intense middle battlefield. Some influences remain on from Archos, but with better definition. The map structure was made with less than $4000, with weapons carried the balance just a little under $6000 left. I would like to thank my biggest influence SaLoT for correcting my flaws but showing me the path to great forging. In addition, the other individuals that helped me test this map iUndrground, Curse0fTheGoat and more I thank you for depicting the map and making it what it is today.

No AA were added, did not function well during testing

It looks really good, but typically FFA's don't have any power weapons of sort, such as the grnade launcher.

From the looks of it, it looks like there isn't many routes to take, and it seems like all the fighting will take place either in the center or the long sides.

I will download it, and have a look.

Dude everyone has ideas, trust me. Just sketch it out first and let the forging begin. I know it takes so much time but hey you never know if your idea can turn out to be a great map. :D add me dude more than willing to help

It played alright, but it was a little too narrow and chaotic.

The map is too small for rockets, especially on CTF. It seemed like getting out of the initial spawn and the back base spawn was hopeless if the other team was on you. There also wasn't a single safe route to take the flag, especially with the platforms being so small and grenades being so strong in Reach.

I was thinking the same thing, but I got to get ppl to push for something in the middle, different weapon placement possibility. Cant do to much more with money limit constraint. Plus like I said this is a smaller version of its big brother. But to me this plays a ton better. Thanks btw for the concerns and thoughts. So look in better spawnin and power weapon placement thanks

It may not seem as varied as some other maps through the offering of different routes, but it accounts for many possibilities and encourages strong team control of the map for any advancement.

Ya they do have to long sides. If the sides are longer then the middle then yes they do.

If you could make the rockets spawn at faster intervals, say every 90 seconds, it would be better to have only two rockets. They are almost guaranteed kills, but appropriate for the map. If you can't change the timing then I would keep them at four rockets, they can already change hands easily enough.

Yea it set to 3min intervals but by MLG but quantity is questionable still. Overall anyone see any issues for the next update

Only problem MLG dropped it within first round of this submission, more than like no updates for this map. Thanks every who has downloaded the map and played it

Looks pretty good.

Haven't played it yet, but just from the pictures, it looks like it needs another level around the perimeter, something like what onslaught and amplified had... maybe with bridges to top mid as well...

seems to me the routes between red and blue base are left floor, right floor, and top mid and that's about it... maybe even a teleporter like Beaver Creek just to diversify the routes a bit...

EDIT: I need to look at the dates more often. If it's dead, it's dead... but you can still take my suggestion and work on it if you wish.

I don't know, it looks really big and doesn't look very unique but besides that it's something way better than I could do so props to you.
