Ive been off and on looking at buying gunnars. I do quite a bit of gaming on my pc as well as my box, an have been curious...anyone know if they work/help/cause pandas to erupt from my eyes?
If they work, then its not worth the money. Only buy them if you have a lot of extra money to spend.
Imo the effects the glasses are largely in your head. The only thing I noticed was magnification.

I figured it was mostly a "in your head" thing

I dont think it's an "in your head" thing. my teammate EverReal used to complain about headaches all the time when we game late at night and when he bought them they went away. I think it helps ppl that are in front of monitors all day more so than just gamers.

I use Gunnars and have had them for a while now. They dont work in the sense that if you use them your going to "see" the game differently and pick up things you never saw before and suddenly start playing better. I use them because I get headaches from the light given off from my monitor. I work on a computer for work all day, then coming home and playing for another 3 hours or so strains my eyes pretty bad. Since I have started using them I can play for much longer before having my eyes strain or getting a headache.
So they work for that, but its not like since I have gotten them I have become a noticeably better player just because of them. That comes from practice and just putting in the time. Hope this helps a bit, that's just my experience with them.

I think the effects that they are supposed to have are in your head. I am in front of monitors all day as well, but I don't seem to get the same headache. It certainly could work for that, but you can get better and cheaper glasses than that for headaches (though I don't think that the light could be the only thing contributing).

I'm a Web Developer and I stare at screens all day writing code and drawing designs. Then I go home and game. Before I got my Gunnars, my eyes would water badly later on in the night and they'd feel stressed. The effects I noticed after buying mine were: my eyes don't water anymore, the screen does look better and colors are more vibrant to me.

gunnars make the picture on the screen look smoother. eye strain is caused from the pixels being slightly blurry that you don't really notice. the gunnars just make it easier on the eyes and you can probably play for longer without your eyes hurting or getting a headache. if you have a really hi-res monitor tho, like 1080p, then you won't need gunnars because there won't be as much eye strain, unless you sit really really close and play for hours on end. sorry if that sounded like a textbook lol

I have two pair of GUNNARS indoor and outdoor glasses and I would fight a mugger if I was attacked and he wanted my GUNNARS!!!!!!!!!

They really do help your eyes and make it easier to play for longer periods of time. My eyes used to get irritated really quickly and I would have to stop playing, but with Gunnars I can game COD for 14 hours straight no problem. No joke, that happened.

They are designed to help with eye strain and fatigue by allowing your eyes to water more. I guess when you stare at screens for long periods of time you tend to not blink as much which increases eye strain and can lead to headaches. Gunnars are supposed to allow you to blink more keeping moisture in your eyes. I have a pair and they work for me.

I also have a pair and I love wearing them! It kinda makes me focus a little better on the game and get me into it a little more.
