I have net met a gamer who has not liked chipotle. (im betting Joe is going to get ALL over this thread) SO for everyone else, post what you think about chipotle.


EX: I believe that Chipotle could very well be what a tastegasm feels like.

What the heck is everybody getting in their Chipotle burritos that is so good? I've been multiple times, and I just don't see it. Baja Fresh is more flavorful, small local burrito shops are more generously portioned, and just about everywhere besides Chipotle gives you chips and salsa with your burrito. It's just never impressed me much.

What is the hype about Chipotle? Are you only eating it because the pros do? I've notice people imitate pros all the time.

I think most of the people who don't like Chipotle, haven't really tried it and they think it is a fast foos Mexican place. It's not! Everyone needs to try it, I really enjoy it myself :)

I could eat the rice and chicken by its self, the salsa is fresh and hot. I love mexican food in general, I think people like it if they enjoy hot food.

yes, but unfortunately chipotle is not vegan :/

plenty of it is, just not the meat, cheese, sour cream (obviously) and I believe there's an issue also with the refried and pinto beans. pretty much everything else (the good stuff like guac, pico, corn, salsa) is vegan, making Chipotle one of the few mainstream restaurants you can get a quick vegan meal at without working too hard

for me, Chipotle is pretty delicious, but you guys are right it's nothing special. it's just a burrito place, with a bunch of ingredients that all taste good by themselves and even better together. that said, it is outrageously popular around here... the last two times I tried to go we were forced to abort the mission because the line was so long

@killboy, I had no idea Chipotle was big with the pros. not surprising though, it's kind of a cult institution among ~20yo guys and college students, at least around here

Being from New Mexico a burrito has to be really good to impress me. Chipotle doesn't. Its ok I guess but most chain burrito places are pretty bad in general.

This. We folk in Arizona can show you what real (Sonoran) Mexican food is meant to taste like. Chipotle is a good quick alternative, but it doesn't compare to most local places here. Some Mexican families started local restaurants in Tucson over a century ago and they're still here.

I personally could eat Moe's all day. Their burritos are huge, the steak is amazing, and they DO give you tortilla chips and salsa.

I love Chipotle! You have NO idea. I eat it at least 5 times a week. I know the staff on a first name basis at my store(Temple, Texas). I have a Chipotle shirt, hat, and apron(haven't worked there) from a girl that works there. Now when I order it depends on many things. If I have worked out before hand I will get "My Order" and then some. Either way I love this place and I wish my store was 24/7!

Bowl - With a tortilla on the side:
- Lime Rice - I request a few sides of lime as well.
- Chicken, or Barbacoa(?)
- Fajita Onions, and Peppers
- Black, or Pinto Beans
- Hot Sauce(Red)
- Mild(Pico de Gio)
- Corn(Not sure what to call it, I just like it)
- Cheese
- Guacamole - Cost extra but it's so worth it.

Do you get a salsa? That really adds to the taste.

But, I suggest going to Qdoba over Chipotle, if you have one. They have a queso burrito and a bbq burrito. It's quite good. Chipotle is still good, but it doesn't have the choices like Qdoba does.

Also, Lime rice > that mediocre orange rice you get at authentic mexican places.

Blasphemy. In-n-Out is not exactly gourmet, but it is perhaps the best possible fast food burger.

Same here. I imagine really only the west coast people, especially people from the "Bay Area" really get anything better than Chipotle/Qdoba (on a sorta off note, has ANYONE heard of Qdoba?). Us midwestern people don't get to see these "top notch" burrito places. Or In-N-Out.
