So, I was just trying to think up a new thread to start, and I came up with this.

I have been to a few events, and have enjoyed them immensely. What I want to know, is whether or not you have been to an event, and what your favorite part was.

Mine was Orlando '09, when we rented an entire setup from a local LAN center and LAN'd all night in the hotel room for two nights. We had T2's little brother and his team, and Legit even showed up for awhile. I am not a player, (though I got some games in) but the team I was there with got to have a blast, and I enjoyed setting it all up for them.

I also remember Orlando '10 and following Mr. P around trying to get the first FB wrist band. He ended up giving me the first two!! :D

Been to a lot of events. Favorite was probably San Diego 08. Got to meet just about every person I could hope for, went to the SD zoo, best strawberry banana smoothies on the planet, etc. Not sure there's an obvious "best part," just the entire experience.

I've only been to 2 events, Orlando '09 and '10

The best part of Orlando '09... lets see. I won an xbox elite from getSUMgear on a contest they had on their facebook, they recognized me at their booth and gave me a blue MLG all over flat brim months before it was on sale. I got my instinct hat signed. Chillin with friends who were competing <3. And going to Disney with MLG Staff! Went with Killa KC, Mrs. Killa KC, Ponytar, Mrs. Ponytar, Gran Calc, Lies, Tanooki, and Nathan the Gears ref. ALL were so chill and nice. :)

At Orlando '10 getSUMgear gave me another MLG hat in green. And I was excited for Instinct getting their first 1st place finish. w00t!

I love the atmosphere MLG brings. Everyone in there is SO pumped!

I'm quite jealous. I've never been to one, and probably never will get to go to one any time soon.

For me the best part is meeting people. Whether these people are other spectators like myself, coaches, or players, I have not met anyone that I haven't liked so far. At Columbus ('10) I didn't really talk to anyone but at Raleigh ('10) I had a blast hanging out with Mazsik, KillerDrew, and the rest of Purgatory before and after their games. Of course being around Status Quo, talking with the Elam family, and spending time with the Triggers Down squad was awesome as well. Being on Main Stage for the Championship Match is quite a rush as well. I don't want to put too much into this post because it'll be included in the articles that I'm working on ... ;)

I've never been to an event. I will go to one for Reach. I've heard so many stories on how fun it is and it's something that would bug me for the rest of my life if I don't attend at least one.

Someone has a man crush on Flamesword :)
Actually seriously Flame... My sister (20) is in love with you after your interview in the first 6team LAN. She seriously took over my computer at that point. She has no idea what MLG is however.

It was hilarious. She kept asking him. His age; where he lives; EVERYTHING.
The funniest part was her boyfriend was sitting on the bed right next to me. He use to play Halo 3/MLG so he understood. haha.

I agree. He's just one of those pro's that you have to like. Like you can't hate him...for any reason.

Ive only ever been able to goto Local tournaments in the UK with the I40 being the most recent. One of the most memorable times was trying to play Call of Duty 1 with a massive Hangover - One of my mates from the Netherlands got motion sickness while playing and we had to call the match because he couldnt play anymore.

Fun times, Painful while we were there but fun times.

Probably. I'm person who doesn't get mad often. You seriously have to do/say something extremely hurtful or mean to make me mad. :)
