MLG Dallas sponsor, am i being scammed? Help please!

Hey, so one of my friends in on a team with this guy Foxtality, and they needed a 4th for dallas. Fox is paying for himself, my friend, and me all expenses. My mom has to pay for herself, but she thinks it might be a scam so let me list some things going on here and see if you guys can help us decide whether its legit or not.

-He is 17
-Married for 3months
-Says hes paying for airfare, a hotel room, the works. For 3 people
-Says he didn't get a Team Pass because they were out, but he got 4 "Competitor Passes" and i have no clue if those are even on sale, never heard of them before.
-Ive never been to an event before so i dont know a whole lot about what goes on, but he tells me a Comp. pass is like a single player pass to play at the event, not a spectator pass. And that when we meet up, he will give us each a pass, and then we can team up at the event and play as a team that way.


I really truly hope this is legit, because its been my dream to go to an event for a while now, but it seems a little too good to be true?

There is no such thing. I don't know what the scam is exactly, but it's definitely not legit. Was your mom going to pay him?

In any case, there is no such thing as a "competitor pass", and to confirm I went to the MLG site and placed a team pass in my shopping cart. That means there are still passes available. Everything he's told you so far is a lie. His word is as good as Boss Nasti's.
