What's up Ladies and Gents,
I'm iXProjektXi and I've been a member for a while, but never introduced myself before now. So here goes...

Name: Matthew Fore
Age: 20
Favorite Games: Halo 3, Halo: Reach, Trials HD, Fallout: New Vegas, and stoked about Homefront and Crysis 2!

About Me:
I have been a gamer all of my life...literally. I remember playing NES with my parents before I was even close to starting school, and that was the start of a very long, entertaining gaming career. I've owned over 10 systems easy, and currently play on my brother's Xbox...that's going to change shortly. haha. I had owned mostly Sony's game systems for about 4 years until the day I play Halo: Combat Evolved at a friend's house. That day changed my perspective on gaming forever and within a few months I owned an Xbox and Halo: CE myself. Around this time, Halo 2 was being released so I was decently behind in the Halo universe but kept playing either CE or 2 until my bro got his 360. First game I bought for the 360 was Halo 3 and I played that game more than any game other game I've ever owned.

Fast forward about 2 years and the 360 got the dreaded RROD, and what a joyous experience that was. Luckily the Xbox was still under warranty so it was replaced free of charge. :D Unfortunately, the "new" Xbox broke after my brother played it for about 2 hours. :insert sad face here: However, we sent it back and the replacement has been working ever since. This span of time was important though because each new Xbox came with a 1 month trial of LIVE. I'd heard all about online gaming but without a job it didn't seem likely that I'd ever get to play on LIVE myself. So the 1 month trial was definitely appreciated and it got me to this point in time.

In the next few weeks I'll be buying my own 360 and a monitor, and hopefully be playing Reach more than I have been recently. Having both college and work, I don't imagine I'll be able to compete but I still enjoy jumping into matches and hopefully winning. ;) Since I mentioned college, I'll just throw out my major which is Civil Engineering...so my college courses are pretty intense Math-wise. Anyways, I'll end here and say thanks for reading if you stuck it out 'til the end.

Welcome! Nice read. What exactly is Civil Engineering?

Civil engineers typically design structures that are built off the land. Such as bridges, roadways, dams, canals, and then certain buildings. I think buildings are thrown into the mix because of structural engineers, but Civil Engineering is just a huge branch in the Engineering field. When I get to Virginia Tech to finish off my degree, I'll have to pick my field of study so for now I just study the maths and sciences to get my General Engineering degree.

I still love the NES! I've contemplated buying either an old NES or one of the new NES/SNES combo systems. haha. The games are classics, and even though games of today can physically do more; they cannot compare to the fun of 8-bit and 16-bit graphics. :p
