If you have ordered it are you still waiting like me and have you been "placed on backorder" like i have? WTF LOL

It is not on back order as far as I know. That is just how it gets into their order system. They explained it in an email sent previously to your backorder email. Next is shipping notice email then daily checking of tracking numbers.

Thank you for ordering on Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers. |. Unfortunately, one or more of the products you ordered is

currently out of stock and could not be shipped. The product(s) has been placed on backorder and will

be shipped as soon as stock becomes available. You will receive another email notification when your

order has actually shipped.

Product Name Qty Ordered Backorder Quantity Amount
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Razer Onza Tournament Edition 1 1 $49.99

Where it says as soon as stock becomes available is why i'm making this thread. I'm wondering if they are just bullshittin and the controllers are just not ready yet meaning NOBODY has gotten theirs.

Everyone got that email, you should have also got an email like 4 days before that saying you were going to get that email and it just means its about to be shipped.

@ Fearless MLG hasnt made a final decision yet, and as for me I would rather pay $10 less for a good controller than deal with a microsoft one when im at home

I'm boycotting mlg until it's allowed. Straight up it doesn't make sense for them to not allow them. Competitive advantage argument? Well there is a huge competitive advantage in favor of those that have no slows over people that don't...

but anyway i'm basically just getting mine so i can combine boxer and bumper jumper. Melee with left trigger, jetpack with l2 jump with L1. Shoot with right trigger, nades with r2 and idk bout r1 yet----of course i may combine bj and green thumb. Melee with right stick and nade with left trigger

oh and the pretty lights lol

@ Fearless I'm just buying it to try it out. I know that Killa KC has said it will be banned in MLG competition but since I'm too crap / old to play at that level / find the time I don't care.

I'm not buying one , until MLG unbans the controller. I'm currently fine with going to best buy and swapping out my controller for a few bucks.

How do i do that you say??? Its simple. Go to any best buy pick up a wired controller, at the check out they will ask if you want the 2 year warranty. SAY YES, its like $10. Their warranty says if it gets SLOW TURN you can bring it in with out a receipt (if you have rewards zone (I do, get it)) or packaging, and they will allow you to pick up a brand new one for free (you lose the warranty), or pay the time used on your warranty to get another 2 years. And they don't check serials numbers or anything, so if you have 5 bad controllers, go in like every other month(to avoid suspicion of theft) and you can get a set of new controllers so If one goes you have a few left over just incase.

I might be wrong about the warranty price, but its around $10. I got it about a year ago, and the only reason why is the guy said this.

"Do you want to purchase the extended protection for your controller? It covers buttons not working, slow turn, or doesn't work at all."
Me:"SLOW TURN?!?!? YES I'll take that! How much?!"
Him:"$10"
Me:"OMG"

Envy controllers have stock no-slow now so you don't have to get a custom controller to have it no-slow Its also like $1 cheaper! lol.

I got my onza with a $5 off coupon and free shipping, but even if I paid full price, another dollar to add better grip, taller sticks, adjustable tension, longer cord, and a better d-pad seems like a good deal to me, not to mention the 2 remappable buttons. Im not sure if you guys saw but the rules for 2011 have left out the sentence banning re mappable buttons, so we're not sure yet if that means the onza will be unbanned, but its definitely looking up

My personal opinion is that the microsoft controllers are going to be overall better because it does not have all that extra crap on it. I have played with several controllers over the years and my experience with controllers is that if there is extra stuff on it then it will not live up to the hype that they make it out to be. I like the way the regular microsoft controller feels. I hate the afterglow controllers with a passion because of the material its made of and madcatz and gamestop controllers are a joke. It seems like to me the re mappable buttons would be to small and could easily hit both at the same time. the taller sticks I really would not like I hate long cords and who uses a d-pad anymore? This is all just my opinion and preference. I hope that the controller works great for you and everyone else that bought it.

I'm going to eventually get one... I have a black wired controller right now that I custom made no-slow and cut the vibration pads out of it. I want to get an onza but I want to make sure it's legal for MLG first.

you obviously don't know the quality of products that razer makes if you can seriously compare them to madcatz and gamestop controllers.

their pedigree in pc gaming alone should be enough for you to atleast consider that this can be a good product.

When did KC say this? Clap said two days ago that he thinks it will be legal but they haven't made a decision yet. Did KC make it official somewhere?

Yeah I know what you mean until now i've always stuck with the official controllers for everything but that was because those madcatz ones are made to be a cheap alternative, not better. Madcatz makes some really great products and are the ones working with MLG to make their controller, and I just think a company with a good reputation like razer trying to make a tournament grade controller will probably at least last me longer than one microsoft controller, and that makes it worth it to me.
