Hey, I'm not sure if this is against the rules to post this here, and I sincerely apologize if it is. Moderators, feel free to remove this thread if I've violated any of the forum rules and please PM me as to where I should place something like this, if I can place it anywhere at all.
With that said, I'll fill you readers in on why I am posting this thread. Obviously from the title it's apparent that my team is looking to add another player to our roster. Let me give you a little background on my team so you have a heads up as what to expect if you are possibly interested.
The team name is Axiom (http://teamaxiom.net)
We've been gaming together, playing Halo competitively, and other games competitively for a LONG time. I'd say over 5 years... maybe more. We are real life friends, meaning we are committed to each other and we have no intention of dropping/removing players just because the results we've had aren't reaching our expectations. We have a good chemistry with one another, and although we frequently get into small spats or arguments, we always continue to play and improve. As a team for Halo: Reach we've attended Washington D.C and didn't place very well at all, but the experience overall was a very enjoyable one. We approach competitive gaming at a professional level, meaning we expect professionalism from every individual member of our team. What defines professionalism to us? A strong practice regiment, a dedicated personality, a responsible approach to tournaments (meaning all expenses taken care of that you are personally responsible for), and a mature outlook on what is and isn't possible for our team without constant complaining, bickering, blaming, and just plain rudeness to your fellow team mates.
We've played competitive Halo for Halo:CE on the PC platform, and competed in CAL/CPL. We've attended several MLG tournaments for Halo 2 and competed with and against top pro players that still compete till this day. We did not compete in Halo 3.
What we are looking for right now is a fifth man. Yes, it sounds off but we are currently in a predicament where we can not practice as often as we'd like to. We are all over the age of 21, and have other responsibilities besides competitive gaming. Our fourth man right now has a job with night-time shifts, and his starting position on our team is in contention. This does not mean we will drop him, we aren't that kind of team. What it means is that we are looking for a responsible replacement to possibly take over his starting position for both online practice and future MLG tournaments which we plan to attend. Below is the list of requirements to fill this position:
Over the age of 17
A reliable schedule that fits into our practice regiment (8pm EST - 12pm EST on Weekdays, sometimes later..., sometimes weekends)
Dedicated personality towards learning and improving your individual game play for Halo: Reach
Team mentality to help improve our overall teamwork and chemistry
A mutual respect for your team mates
The ability to bring something to the table for our team in terms of knowledge of the game, team strategy, constructive criticism (not disrespectful criticism), team networking for scrimmages and practicing, etc.
Someone who is not sensitive, is hard-skinned, and shows team commitment. We are not interested in flaky team-hoppers.
Willing to learn and adapt to our play style, as well as make contributions as to how we can improve. We are not interested in know it alls who are condescending and egotistical.
We will NOT be attending MLG Dallas, and we are currently unsure if we will be attending Columbus. The goals we have set for our team currently, is to establish a more prominent record on GameBattles, as well as to become more involved with online tournaments and improving our team work. We will pick and choose future MLG events to attend based off of whether or not we believe we are prepared to make a good showing and perform well. We have been competing in Halo for a long time, and unfortunately have very little to show for it. We do not want to go to an MLG unprepared, and leave unaccomplished. Our goal is to make a good placing that we can be proud of, therefore we have a lot of work to do before we can be comfortable deciding as whether or not to attend another MLG event.
We are mainly looking for an East Coast player, but you won't be immediately disqualified from consideration if you aren't from the East Coast. We will however not accept West Coast players as your connection playing with us online just won't work.
If you are interested in joining, please either leave a reply here to this thread or PM me, or you can even send me a friend request on xbox live coupled with a message explaining your interest in joining our team (or else I won't know why you're requesting me).
My GT is: NYC ziG
Or you can even hit me up on AIM, which is linked up with my forum account so you should be able to see it in the side panel next to this post.
Please keep in mind that you WILL be contending for a starting position on our roster.
We would also be interested in a Coach to assist us, if you can convince us that what you would bring to the table is something we need.
Thanks, TLN!
