I was just wondering how many people on the forums were Haste the Day fans. Their last show as most of you fans may have known was this past friday night. I had the opportunity to go with 3 of my friends to that show and I must say that it was hands down the best show I went to so far except for the whole venue being really bad and not allowing mosh pits nor crowd surfing. However that did not stop it from happening because a plea for purging, The Chariot, Still Remains, and My Children My Bride are way to brutal to not mosh to.
I have a couple storys to share with you guys. first off all the original members of Haste the Day were there and Jimmy Ryan did guest vocals on blue 42 and they all played substance together so that was absolutely amazing! Now for a funny story. A Plea for Purging was the opener and they did a wall of death but they called it a wall of dance since the venue did not allow moshing. They had one side do the cabbage patch and the other raise the roof and then high five eachother in the middle. When it came to the high five it obviously was not high fiving and turned into the actual wall of death! lol.
The venue did not like that to much so they cut their vocals on their next song. The Chariot was mad about that so when they came on stage they said that they wanted us to be free! and continued to say that through out their set. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen happen at a concert. Overall I had an amazing time and was well worth the 11/12 hour drive from Arkansas and would do it again in a heart beat if HTD ever did a reunion show. I will post some pics a little later.
