Brad's quest for Onyx

Hey all. I'm looking for players to run The Arena games with. I've been as high as the top 10% of Gold and now the quest for Onyx is on.

"Brad why are there only 3 sets of footprints?" you ask. There will likely be some carrying involved as the competition in arena is challenging to me and the Randys I go in with. Before I got involved with TLN and went to JvsP I was rocking consistent silvers. Now I have gold 3 months in a row and it seems like beautiful Onyx is only a few games away.

I know most of you poo poo arena. I understand why, agree with you but I still enjoy it. Hit me up if you want to run some games after 10:30 EST on weeknights. Brad N Toronto

Night #1 of Brad's Quest for Onyx was a positive affair with so so results. I was in the basement of the stats and we had a losing record but the energy, comradery and joie de vivre were there big-large. See you people Wednesday bight.

Update from 2 nights of help:

1) I've had some help from a few of the posters in this thread and the energy has been good so thanks.
2) Both nights have had losing records but in the bungie rankings I am still in the top 30% of gold so the goal is still within reach.

Ive had onyx a bunch of times. With this new Arena its all about wins now. It is more set up like H3 ranking system. I was top 15% yesterday but I got a 1285 (wow what a BK amirite?!) and dropped to 20 :p. But yeah add me Ill see what we can do. GT: ChrisasoarusRex

Update from March 18. Reliable Luke Network, Smallz and Spiffy took me on a 7 game winning streak. I'm back in top 10% of Gold and on the rise. Onyx is so close I can taste the darkness of it.

That's just not right. The only time I don't invite is when I have a full party, am about to end my session or you have a full party. You are my boy Mr. and together we will kill. Today I'll be on for a 3 hour session in the afternoon and again after 8 tonight.

Bleu yes you do have to keep playing or others ranking up can push you down. I'm on a baby steps plan of reaching onyx for once and I'll see how the world looks through onyx coloured glasses.

brad I did not realize this before but I checked my bungie.net stats and I had won all 12 of my arena games and then ended up losing 2 by a narrow margin due to stupidity that I could not control. I was so mad!

Krillin I am beginning to suspect your play is not as bad as you claim it is. We still have our 1v1 to settle who really lives in the basement of this game.

The way it works is this:
- They place 5/20/25/25/25 % of all ranked players into Onyx/Gold/Silver/Bronze/Steel.
- In seasons 1-6 it was about your individual score and the relative placement of those you bested.
- This season your placement is based on wins and the placement of those you beat.
- If your results get worse you will fall but you will also fall if other's results get better.
- I even had a day in season 4 ish where I was silver, did not play and got bumped up to gold the next day because of how teh stack of players and scores settled.

The moral of the story is you all rule and the Dallas opener is going to be great.

So yes I will have to play.

But jetpack needs to be taken out cuz jetpackers never give up on a kill and just chase. They're usually the ones that have 20 deaths in a game..

Guys my quest for Onyx has turned in to the less exciting quest to maintain Onyx. I took two days off and lost 5% each day. I can't let the darkness go without a fight so I'll be back at it soon and sending invites.

Hey again. I'm looking to get a bit more help closing out the season with dark blackness. This season only has about 2.5 weeks left and I predict competition will increase.

Effectively zero people on my FL play arena. The Randys and I have had a tough go of it and I have sunk as low as top 40% of Gold. TLN Ego has been kind enough to run games with me a couple of nights. With that and the rarity of some capable Randals I'm back up to top 15% of Gold.

I'll be calling again on my heroes, The TLN army, to help me. If you look in the mirror and see Tom Hanks (or even Tom Sizemore) then there is a certain private Bradley that needs saving. You know what to do. Hit me UP if you see me online with room in my party.
