I believe that I'll be attending a launch party at the Microsoft store in Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego. They're going to have Halo:CE and a Halo 3 tourney until Midnight when we will all buy REACH, take it home, and play it for 5 days without sleeping or going to class.
What are you guys going to do for the launch?
If you haven't thought of anything yet, make sure you check your local Gamestop or Play n Trade to see if they have a tourney going on for a free copy of the game. It's a great way to save $60 and have a bunch of fun.
Even if you already preordered the game, if you win it in the tournament you can always sell it to someone else in line.
What are you guys doing?

Well, im going to be going to a midnight launch of the game - I currently have my Legendary edition payed for so its just going their and collecting it.

I am then heading over to my friends house, where i will be setting up both our Xbox's next to each other. One on a 32 inch plasma and the other on a 30 inch iMac - Seen as its still summer time for university not many of our friends are still arround so it looks like just the 2 of us doing customs and legendary campaign

Going to my local 24 hour shop at midnight to wait in a LONG line to get it, I have 2 weeks holiday off my work so I can play it without needing to worry to sleep lol :).

Yeah, that's what I am doing. Other than that, buy some energy drinks and do customs.

I am pretty close to you guys aren't I? Cloud, totz, joe fries and fearitself came to a miniature little tournament type thing a guy I know named Bruno held a while back, so I assumed they all came from somewhere close by. I am always rooting for my Illinois locals at tournaments haha! Pretty much all of the local IL pros placed top 3 at Raleigh. That's what I like to see :)

I live in Illinois but sadly no where near any location that is having some sort of event. I'm pretty much the only Halo fanatic within a large radius of where I live I suppose, as the midnight releases are usually attracting a good 10 people.

Southern part of Illinois. About 3 hours (give or take) from St. Louis. The closest metro area to me is a town called Carbondale.
