Alright, here is the first version, needs a little bit of work but, the walls have minimized screen lag SO DON'T YELL ABOUT THE WALLS, it was worse before because it had way to much screen lag. Performance wise the map is pretty good. Testers of the original include C 0 M A, IV Breezy VI, Ssnipeout, Gaven iz a Bk, and TuAmped: Thanks a Ton. The light in bottom green was removed to save money and screen lag. 99% of original jumps (that i knew of) have been redone! Several have been revamped and changed. Grenade tricks were copied as well as possible.

There is still slight screen lag on the BR tower ramps (leading down to BR1) if you know how to fix it please tell me and I will. Any Critique and advice is welcome, I just want a good lockout remake.

4 DMR---scattered
1 Magnum----Original Library Spawn

2 Health Station---Library and Snipe-2
Frag and Sticky Grenades are scattered
2 Plasma Pistol---Top lift and Top S1-S2 ramp
(fusion coils have been mostly deleted due to cost and overall uselessness though they still remain on snipe tower)

Supports MLG BALL 3, MLG TEAM SLAYER v3, MLG KotH T3.02, MLG FFA

Yes. The bottom of BR1 and S1 are not even as that is the way they were in Halo 2 (something way too many remakes overlook)

Oh, I know. But there is a good amount of the doorway that can be seen from BR1, it was not completely hidden from that LOS.

Thanks I'll see what I can do, very little is visible from the ramp, but a good 2/3 of it is visible from suicide room...not perfect though Ill work on it!

Ya I noticed the error in location early but didn't want to rebuild...laziness is a terrible thing. But, you quoted me saying "Shoot! blah blah blah". So I figured it was something about that! My bad, thanks for the feedback, I'm thinking of rebuilding it in another location (the cave portion by the waterfalls seems best) But, right now I'm ironing out the mistakes and errors that I made.

Try it out first! I'm not sure if game play is ideal for 4v4 I ran 3s on it yesterday and that was fine but couldn't get a huge lobby so...maybe get some testing and feedback?

In order to remake lockout, one would have to redesign a lot of things. This being said, the design focus should be "lockout esque asymmetrical map designed with oddball in mind and spawns that accommodate that". Instead, you tried to remake every trick jump and detail. Fail, IMO.

Making the back b3 bigger and different would be essential. Suicide room needs to be deeper, elbow needs to go lower and longer...and im sure your bottom lift is a bad recreation in which you were too strict in your carbon copy idea.


Basically, a little ingenuity on top of respect for what it used to be. You could never recreate the feel and have it look the same in a different game. Certain spots would need buffs and changes...

Well if you are not offering any good opinions i suggest you make your own and maybe it will succeed good luck.

i think he made a lot of good suggestions, even though he was kind of a dick about it... but don't be so sensitive you should realize that when your trying to recreate something so legendary people are going to be harsh in their opinions about it.

Many of his suggestions are pretty much point less, to do because they wouldn't truly affect game play just looks, I'm not being sensitive kids a dick, so I was a dick back and suggested if he wants to recreate it his way then he should but I wanted a remake with small changes (which i am doing more of as we speak) so that's what I did. If I had wanted to change things like that I would have but, I chose to stay accurate. I realize some people will feel obliged to may comments because it is one of the best maps in the history of FPS gaming. I appreciate real critique that may actually change gameplay but in all honesty the kid was trying to prove that mine was bad, when all his suggestions were pretty much useless. I am taking my map and changing it up into a new map based off of lockout. So, don't get your panties in a wad i realize that it may not be perfect for Reach but my goal is to make it work for Reach. There will be future releases with increased Reach Game Play aspects.
