How does Fantasy work?

Can someone please explain to me or link me to a page on how the Fantasy League works???? Because i'm really confused.

EDIT: My top 4 players that I picked is different then when I look at my top 4 players now????

Its a draft. Have you ever played fantasy baseball? It's similar to that. You pre-rank your players.
Lets say you rank your players:

1. Ace
2. Enable
3. Roy
4. Flamesword
5. Lunchbox
6. Hysteria

and you are the 4th team to choose:

Team 1: Roy
Team 2: Lunchbox
Team 3: Ace
Your Team: Enable (since he is the top ranked player on your list and is available)
Team 5: T2
Team 6: Totz
Team 6: (it snakes and so on down you list taking your top player you ranked vs who is available).
Team 5:
Your Team:
Team 3:
Team 2:
Team 1:

In your case you must have had the 5th or 6th pick and your top 4 players were taken. I hope this helps. I know they said they were thinking about attempting a live draft.
