The way the rules were changed, it seems like it will be allowed. Clap said he thinks it will be too.

yes the new rules do not specifically say "razer onza" and don't talk about remappable buttons, only button combos. if you brought one you could argue that the rules don't specifically ban the onza. i still haven't got mine, though, but it's coming on thursday!

i would not push the matter if you did bring ur RO then i would also bring a back up. people brought Turtle Beaches to Chi town Combine and was told they could not use them and if they did or attempted to they would get a Match DQ

the razer onza doesn't violate of the of the 2011 HALO REACH rules. therefore it is tournament legal for Reach atleast.

someone specifically said it was in a thread on mlg. I think it was clap but i cant find the thread.

I don't know about the Onza controllers, because of the extra programmable bumpers. But to answer the question from luke about the Turtle Beach headsets, it is because most Turtles can't plug directly into the astro mixamps, and they require a extra power outlet. And you're not aloud to use the power outlets. And the wireless headset cause and receive too much interference because of the frequencies.

so does mine. :(

Such a fail. The slow-turn on mine is worse then any Microsoft wired controller I've used. It's ridiculously bad to the point that Cleanup was making a point to go to my left during a 1v1.

Mine comes thursday as well :)

For the people saying they have slow turn is that without messing with the tension on the sticks or after ? I've heard tightening them down can give the appearance of slow turn.

i'll be pissed and probably will complain to razer if it has bad slow turn. they advertised and made a video about it being no-slow. that's pretty gay if it's not.

Yeah, Arctic told me that, and i've tried every possible tension setting.
I am beyond frustrated.

i was looking at the thread on mlg, and people say that you shouldn't mess with the tension at all. i'm gonna try this and hopefully it'll be at a good setting when i get it.
there's still one thing that no one has talked about. does the original 360 mic fit if u chop off the black things on either side of the jack?

He said he THINKS it is. No one ever confirmed it. Though Clap is like #4 in the company it's not his call.

what do you guys mean with "slow turn?"

in the razor onza

Mine had slow-turn from default settings out of box. You definitely need to loosen the tightness as well, I have mine fully loosened and the slow-turn to the left is ridiculous. I should get a capture of it. I already messaged Razer over the weekend, no reply yet.

If these slow turn reports are true this is a disaster for razor. Mine arrives this week. I'll post here if mine slow turns.

Yours must have gotten a busted spring or whatever that happens during shipping. Mine has a long way to go, i hope ups doesnt screw it up. Ive had shipping companies break some expensive stuff before, but that was dhl.

Sounds like you guys should fix your old Microsoft controllers. The onza had a lot of hype.

I was talking to Defy on MyMLG about the Onza because his owns two of them. He bought the TE and SE versions. He said the triggers take some getting used to. The TE only appears to slow turn if the sticks are tightened up too high, but his SE had legit slowturn. The rubber coating is the one of the best parts of the controller. The controller is legal in MLG and can be used at Dallas.

Mine arrives tomorrow and i cant wait to test it out all day. If anything is wrong with it slowturn, buttons, not working,DOA, i will be emailing Razer immediately. Saw a story on MLG and they shipped the guy out a new one before he even shipped his in yet so hopefully their customer service is top notch.

yes i can't wait to get mine. i keep checking the tracking like every couple of hours lol. i really hope i get a good one. i was hoping to be done with slow turn for good. i knew they'd be legal, they are so popular already, and tons of people bought them. you can't rapid fire in halo reach anyway, and there's no point if u could cause of bloom. and since CoD is for ps3 then there's no point in banning them.

you can have all your buttons on the top you dont even need the skittles anymore with this...

Haven't see a lot of people screaming about how much they love theirs lol. I was kind of wondering if it would be able to live up to all the hype or not.

Ok, so basically the only thing I'm diggin' on these is the the way it feels in hand.

Try this is you have the TE with slow-turn:

1. Hold down both remap buttons and connect the controller to the xbox.
2. While the guide button blinks on the controller press the A button and wait for the LED to change.
3. Check for slow turn again.

It worked for me but I still don't like the way the triggers feel and it feels a little off with the right analogue notched 3 clicks from fully loosened. Almost feels like my sensitivity is too high, I play @ 4 and 3 clicks feels like 6'ish. If I make it tighter it just feels too tight for me, so it's not really any benefit for me. I'm already sorta shitty, I was looking for an edge ;)

try playing on 3 sens

I tried mine for the first time last night. I did notice some slow turn situations but only when I had the sticks really tight, tighter than I would play with so slow turn is not an issue for me.

I have three cons.
1) The biggest issue I have is just the shoulder button layout and getting used to it. I play bumper jumper and shoot with my trigger finger. I sometimes hit the new shoulder buttons and not the old ones. I think this problem will go away as I get accustomed to it.
2) I could not map crouch to my right programmable button. I can do it to the left but not the right. That I found strange.
3) The directional pad I leaves me wondering what they were thinking. It is separated into 4 buttons and they almost seem to stick for a moment before coming back up after pressing. I wish they used the same click that the other buttons use. It does not hurt me in reach but it will on other games were dpad angles or quickness are important.

I have 3 pros.
1) I like the feel of it. I don't miss my kontrol freak extensions as the analog sticks are taller. The new clicking buttons feel good. The rubber coating is nice and the bumps underneath are good for my fingers.
2) Having extra buttons is great. I play bumper jumper and therefore can't jetpack and shoot well. Now I can as I mapped armor ability to the left programmable button. I mapped shoot to the other. I may change it but now it enables me to spam like never before, especially with the pistol and then go for a lighting quick beat down with the regular shoulder button.
3) The adjustable tension on the analog sticks is nice. I don't know what my final preference is but I enjoy the feeling of dialing it in just right.

So I am happy and am going to put time into learning this controller. My hands were a bit sore after playing the first night. That is to be expected I think.

i am currently sitting around waiting for the UPS man to get here....i will edit when the razer onza is in my hands. i have been waiting for this thing for a year, and it feels like it's never gonna happen.
Edit: i finally got it as i was leaving for school, so i got to hold it for a minute. It feels really really good and comfortable. I noticed my sticks were on the lowest tension setting and they felt nice. Ill find out later if there's any slow turn. Cant wait to mess around with it.
another edit:
this controller definitely takes some getting used to. it's really comfortable, but the stick position is a little different. this controller is definitely no-slow, but only on the lowest tension setting. i had to go down to 3 sens lol.

if anyone's still checking out this thread, today i was getting some slow turn, and i tightened the tension quite a bit, not sure how many clicks, 8-10 maybe. but it is absolutely perfect, and i'm literally not getting any slow turn, and it's at the perfect tension that i can control it. i'm starting to like this controller a lot more. the d-pad is the only downside.
