Just wondering if the pros are using the new mixamp or not and also is it legal to use at events?

If you mean the wireless one, wireless headsets are illegal at MLG events. So if it is wired then most likely.

The headset is wired still but the mixamp is wireless. If you're just trying to get a +1 then just don't post, please.

I am not trying to get a +1. I am just trying to be helpful geez. They will most likely just stick with wired mixamp.

Seemed as if you didn't even read the thread, you're post didn't even make sense.

There is a wired and wireless mixamp dude. I was saying the situation about both of them. The wireless mixamp would generally be used with the wireless headset.

You don't need to bring a mix amp unless you are planning on using it with splitters on split screen. The Amps are provided for championship bracket. I would imagine that they are legal, though.

Are you sure they would allow wireless ones? I thought MLG had a thing against wireless controllers and headsets.

Their not using the wireless ones for a number of reasons, but in all honesty I don't even think it matters.

Americanbash +1 for trying to help.

The Pros use the wired Amps.

Wired > Wireless

Any day of the week.

Wireless controllers are illegal so i'd imagine you can't use wireless mix amps either.

Every astro headset is wired, to a degree. The headphones themselfs are wired. As for the op, astro has made two different standard mixamps. With slight physical differences. Your thread is misleading, due to the wireless set has been around for about 6-7 months now. I saw the title and was like new mixamp cool, but not really. Also your op is not detailed enough to even start a flame war with some one over something so trivial as a mix amp.

Well said, I also thought there was a new mixamp that just released or something, but i was disappointed....anyways i have never heard of anyone using a wireless mixamp or even say they wanted to. I cant imagine that it's legal. I just asked Nexy and Lies, I'll post back if they give me an official word.

Hey man I know you are very new here but these forums are completely different than any of forums you are used to... especially the MLG forums... People are really nice and supportive of each others comments and don't bash eachother. I didn't see American Bash as just trying to get one more post at all. So don't show up bringing the hate... spread the love and you'll be surprised how much you enjoy this forum compared to others

I'm pretty sure wireless devices are mainly banned because you can imagine the problems it would cause with thousands of gamers trying to sync their wireless controllers and headsets at the same time. It'd be a mess of digital cross talk!! lol

"Hey man I know you are very new here"... really? Is this coming from the Hysteria fan boy?

You got your answer there is no reason to keep arguing here. Also there is nothing wrong with being a fan boy.

Yes...
I also came into this thread thinking astro had released a new amp to coincide with the 2011 A40s...misleading FTL...

Sorry if anyone takes this in the wrong context lol...with the wireless A40 set, if I bring my headset is that still okay since it still plugs in to the mix amp? When I read the rules I was a little confused by this. Don't need an answer until Columbus so take your time!!! hahahaha j/k. But really is the headset from the A40 wireless set okay to use? Before anyone says I'm stupid and going for +1, if you look at all or most of my posts you will see I don't try to get +1. That doesn't mean anything to me. Just trying to find out info so I don't go to Columbus in June unprepared.

well I think you answered my question there. I didn't even realize there was a page 2 hahaha. So my headsets from the A40 wireless set will be okay since they themselves are not wireless. Awesome!!! And ZeroCool, see you in lobby this week b-tch!!!! haha j.k, but good luck man. We are looking forward to it.
