Cbus 2011 (I know its early)

Me and a few friends are 100% attending as spectators and possibly even as a team if we feel were ready...but that being said...we like to go out and hit up the town, talk to the haunters and were looking for people to chill with or possibly even room with.

Main reason for this post is to see if anyone wants to split the cost of a room and to get the word out for people to chill with or lan with.

How does one go about getting sponsors? And what kinda sponsors do you have? How does a team of just some friends convince companies to sponsor them...are people really that willing to just throw money at people for video games :P

Cbus 09 was probably one of my best times with my team. it was so much fun just hanging with my team

Me personally, I got lucky with a new business looking to get into gaming. I am a member of a community (or clan as some of you like to call it) and the sponsor was as well. I was offered the sponsorship because of my dedication an time I put into the game. My love for the game and my aspiration to go compete at an event. This will be his first Halo team, thus why I believe I was able to get this. So he can get his name out there in the Halo division. He already sponsors Tekken players, including NYC Fab. Search the forums. Someone posted a thread with info on sponsorships and such. It was very informative. Sorry I can't remember who wrote it up, maybe someone who reads my post can help you out with a link.

Starfish G I'll send you a F/R in a little bit. We're definitely down for scrims and to LAN if we can get to Columbus early enough to be able to.
