I bought homefront last night. I like it alot. It plays alot like a cross between MW2 and Battlefeild BC2. I was wondering if anyone else has the game yet and if you do, send me a FR on xbl. If your thinking of buying it I have a few things to say first

-Dont buy used, It has a code in the box you need to enter to pass level 5 in rank
-Wait a couple days, The servers for this game are messed up alittle and their fixing them
-They have some bugs thats their fixing in the next few days too

Some of the pros of the game
-Graphics are great, guns look good and shot do register relatively well
-Campaign is pretty sick, it did not drag on and has a really good story
-Noob tube sucks :)
-You can use the sniper close and long range.
-Instead of killstreaks you use battle points to buy what you want in game

My cousin used to play Black Ops 24/7, then he purchased this game. Hasn't been on Black Ops since the release of Homefront :D If that helps anyone :D

I disagree with the graphics end. Blacks Ops even beat em in that department. It's a good game if your bored with Call of Duty and Halo Reach. I ended up trading it in because gameplay was too slow. As for the story mode, it's good but it is really short. Definitely not worth the $60 if your a story mode kinda guy. Just my opinion though.

I've been playing the campaign a little while enjoying the infinite blackness of Onyx. I love battling in a destroyed America. The sets are impressive. Unfortunately I can't play you online because I'm a filthy pirate.

yeah i hear its ok but i believe the game will die. the Online is just not solid i see it being untouched by Gears 3 i see it being a good game but if they made a Homefront 2 or something it may keep it main stream but i really feel like its just gonna fall to the waste and to me thats not worth 60

Overall, I agree with you Dibs. I wasn't a fan of the game until about 3 days ago because of the server problems, but it was better the last time I played online. I definitely like the Battle Points versus Killstreaks, because you can get Battle Points for playing the objective instead of just going for kills. There are some minor things that I'd like to have tweaked but otherwise its a solid game. I think Havkin might be right about it dying off kinda quick with Crysis 2 being released yesterday and GoW3 coming out soon, but that doesn't take away from Homefront overall. All in all, a pretty good shooter with potential once they've worked out the bugs.

agreed i really didn't like the way the game looks and nor handles its a bad copy of COD and Battlefield even though battfield online isn't the greatest either

I was just wondering if anyone had it. Its not worth $60 and im not really trying to promote it but I do want to play it some. I got mine for free because i do alot for my local best buy. I just dont want to waste the game

I'll add you online tonight if you wanna play a few matches Dibs. :) haha. I traded-in some games to get Homefront and might have played it a total of 3 1/2 hours...maybe? It's not a bad game online as long as the servers are up to speed...its definitely not as polished as CoD, but I like the overall direction Kaos Studios took with the game.

The whole add-on to be able to make it past Lvl. 5 is garbage though...so I understand the frustration there Krillin. I seriously don't know what they were thinking... :confused:

It's not a bad game online as long as the servers are up to speed...its definitely not as polished as CoD,


sorry had to respond to this the fact that if the servers are up is a joke....if your makeing a multiplayer game that if i remember correct holds more in one match than COD then you better have it together

I think its safe to say that NO game has been perfect its first few weeks after release. Whether its MW2, Reach, BO...doesn't matter...I remember the first few days of Reach not being all that great connection wise. And there are still instances where connection isn't good. haha. So its not really fair to blame Kaos Studios/THQ yet about the servers right now. Once they've had time to straighten everything out and if then things are still bad...then yes I'll blame them.
