Throwback LAN?

Hey I can see this not really being a possibility.

I was on the stream yesterday and me and a couple of the guys there were discussing the people on Cam 1 and what teams they used to be on.

I had a thought that a Throwback LAN could be an idea, maybe the early 08 season, obviously this possibly isn't a reality and I'm sure no one would pay for a flight just for this purpose.

Teams would be:

TD: SK, Hysteria, FiS and Snipedown.
St8 Rippin: T2, Elamite, Legit and Neighbor.
Instinct: Mackeo(or replacement), Victory x, Roy and Lunchbox.
Final Boss: Ogre 1 (or replacement), Ogre 2, Walshy and StrongSide.
Carbon: Shockwave, Gandhi, Ghostayame and Karma. (Carbon is the harder group to get together).

The last team is for you to decide.

Obviously all groups aren't possible, so the replacement would need to be someone who has played on that team before.

For example: Ogre 1's spot could be taken by pistola and Mackeo's spot could be Cloud.

Give me your thoughts on the 6th team and what players would be the replacements, Carbon being a hard group to implement.

Teams must be from the early 2008 season.

oh lol here i thought you ment like PLay a weekend of Halo2 or 1. this idea is awesome but some people are not friends anymore making it harder to team or get them to wanna play. i think it would be sweet and MAYBE it would spark some old Teams also it would be funny to see how 07-08 Str8 halo 3 would play FB ya know? its just with all the years behind them they maybe the best again.

I think it would be really neat to see some throwback H:CE and H2 action thrown into the mix. Like maybe a random team drawing followed by a mini-tourney. Or a weekend in which the top teams play all 4 games, H:CE on Thursday, H2 on Friday, H3 on Saturday and Reach on Sunday with a way to tally the points earned from each game for an overall champion.

I kept it 2008 that way the majority of people will have played Halo 3/Halo Reach. Halo 2 is always a possibility because most people have played/competed at that level. H:CE is a worry though I would think most of the players mentioned would of played it but maybe not at a competitive level?

Anyway I do like the idea of Playing all 4 across 4 days.

This would be awesome! I can imagine that, if the circumstances were right, most of these guys would be willing to drop any old issues they had with each other and play something like this for old time's sake. Who doesn't love nostalgia?

Amazing idea seeing the 08 Str8 Rippin would give me a good tickle on the inside :)
