what do you think will be your biggest transition from Halo 3 to Halo Reach?

Um well imo it won't take anything for me cause I don't have trouble transitioning but if i had to choose something it would be with the pace of the game. That will take a little getting use to.

Getting used to the loadouts will be something I'll have to adjust to. Been a dedicated fan since the first halo and I'm really curious what its like going to have to look out for people jetpacking in and illusions running around the map. I hope to see more teamwork though overall in the game with all those additions.

I think it's just going to be completely different than Halo 3. Just how your mindset will be in killing someone. Since they're adding "perks" and what not. It feels like more thinking will be involved when you're going after to kill someone. It also seems like the maps are bigger, with more of a slow paced game. Hopefully it won't seem boring. I'm just excited and ready for Monday!

Those are the kinds of things that i don't really notice i adapt without thinking about it so its not really like I am transitioning at all. Its just halo to me man.

I guess it all deals with how your playstyle is. I think a lot when I'm playing. Deciding on how I can get away and when/if I need to rush, just everything that is going on around me.

Hardly anything I hope... I always forget to lead my shots in Halo 3 anyways so Reach should suit me just fine with bringing the hitscan back in to play... ;)

I don't think it will be too bad. Hopefully when the MLG playlist starts I won't have to worry about jetpacks anymore. :p

Same here Heuer and I hated how some games you had to lead the shots more than others depending on the connection, the return of hitscan shall be glorious. Personally I feel like I will have to get used to knowing when to run or hide after taking a certain ammount of damage. But after a day or 2 I should be good hopefully.

The shot system looks like it just simply will be a lot better. Plus I'm actually liking the bloom effect and hoping it will eliminate the guys who chase you and just spray their BR at you as fast as possible not even really aiming.

It was going to be hitscan coming back but i've been playing Halo 2 on XBC so that shouldn't be a problem, i guess it'll just be the maps and where to position myself.

I don't think it'll eliminate it at all but it will help you in surviving. Good point though :)

To me it will be hard to adjust to the AA in MM. I mean, power ups already take a big toll on H3 , now imagine each individual player running around with their own personal power ups. It will definitely change the pace of the game.
As far as the hit boxes, I'm actually cool with that. But in a way will still be difficult if the opponent will dash, fly, or drop down the amour lock on you. IDK just gotta wait and see what MLG does
I'll will still go back to H3 to be honest and enjoy a good ol BR stand off. :D

There's a very good chance that MLG maps will have a much bigger sandbox than you're used to. Thus, I will be trying to get really good with weapons like the Focus Rifle, Concussion Rifle (especially this one), and Grenade Launcher.

I was never a fan of the larger maps in Halo 3 but I think that was due to the spread of a Br and having to lead your shots. I think I might like the bigger maps in Reach though with the new shot system.

mastering the bloom. i'm getting better* at it everyday.
Am I the only one that actually enjoyed "leading your shots" in Halo 3? I however, never played H2. I got really good at always leading my shots.

I liked it personally but it was frustrating at times with the spread being off. Basically instead of a spread we now have the bloom affect. Just now with no leading your shots I can see it being more accuracy based because I'm sure we have all been out Br'ed by that one lucky random whos BR spread lead just perfectly. Of course we also have been on the winning in of the spread too.

Although I am excited about the return of hitscan, it does worry me a bit because of H2. If anybody remembers what host BR was like in H2, it was almost unstoppable. IMO H2 host BR was way worse than H3. I'm just hoping with the return of hitscan we don't see the massive host advantage returned. Host is big in H3, but small in comparison to what it was in H2.

Aside from the obvious aiming issues and new maps I'm really looking forward to Reach because the button lay out works great for me (i claw) now i can use the claw to it's fullest.

Possibly the bloom but other than that I think reach is going to be EPIC.

I think back to the Halo 2 -- Halo 3 transition, and it seems to me that, at the time, we didn't really realize the way the game would change. We knew that the shots would be a bit different, etc, but ultimately shooting is shooting. We didn't, or at least I didn't, make the connection to a game where teamwork would dominate individual skill. We'll see how Reach works out. I think this game could have the biggest difference between standard matchmaking and MLG settings of any yet.
