For the event, I shall be using my astro a40's and a friend will use his astro a40's. I know both will work with a splitter cable, if i let my friend use my a30's will those work as well? also will the trittons that td wore for an event be able to used with an astro mixamp? please let me know

Yes. Any combination of those headsets will work with the mixamp. You can use the A40s with the A30s granted you have all the cables necessary (that came with). The Trittons will work if you have a special adapter I think Astro sells. I'm 99% sure of that. If you don't have one, you could pick the adapter up at the event I'm sure.

It all comes down to what you are comfortable with using. TD tried them for an event (under Bravo's suggestion I believe) but they switched back to regular Astros for whatever reason. Whatever floats your goat. Bravo continued to use his Trittons through the rest of the season. That is one of the reasons he sold his Astros from 2009 for charity a while back.

A30's should work with the splitter cable. If using tritton 720's like Neighbor and tD then you have to send the tritton company a message asking them about the tritton astro cable and they will sell you a cord that will hook up your 720's with the mixamp.



A year ago in July, Triggers down answered the same question I asked. They replied

Tyler - We prefer Tritton's for a number of reasons - if you look at the technology behind their speaker systems in each headset, they much more geared toward gaming and the ability to map out the sounds you hear. Also, their super comfortable and don't slip off your head. However, it's all about preference - some teams still wear Astros, and some select players wear senn's. It's really what you're most comfortable with, so that you're playing as best you can.

From total guess, I'm sure you could, the cord that works with the 720 probably works with the pro, but it wouldn't be tourney legal.
