HD Pass now = HQ Pass, price hike along with it

Well I would always buy the HD passes to watch events for 2 reasons. The first being the quality wasn't that good and I wanted to be able to see peoples names. The second being that I wanted to support MLG.

I will continue to buy them, but they are a little bit different this year. Like I said, they are now called "HQ Passes" and apparently have some new features. Anyway, here is the link to the site. http://store.majorleaguegaming.com/products/mlg-dallas-hq-pass

There is no price hike, my memory just seems to be failing me.

The "HD Stream" wasn't really HD which they got flak for I imagine and changed the name to what it really is. I wont be buying the HQ pass though, ill be fine with the regular quality.

looks like the same features, and i'm sure it's the same quality as last year regardless of name change (which was excellent quality, especially the SC2 stream, they specifically bumped up the bitrate for SC2 and it was gorgeous)

Once you go hq, you can never go back. I cant stand the regular stream anymore, so im definitely getting an hq pass.

My first event buying it. I'm hoping it's worth it, though it sounds like it based on what others have been saying and I agree that the standard def stream is less than desirable. My only worry is that it'll just look too bad to go back to after the HQ so I'll feel compelled to buy it every event. Still, $10= just over �6.50 so that's an investment I can probably afford to make each event.

Really looking forward to pause and replay :).

Every event I didnt attend I bought the HD pass. the SQ stream was okay to watch with Starcraft but with Halo with all the movement its looks awful. HD is the only way to go!

I've bought the HQ pass since it was introduced it makes for a much better event, you can put it on a 40"+ screen and it really feels like a true spectator event.

Yeah the quality is brutal. I really hope that the HQ is better now. If I wasn't buying the pass before, I couldn't even read the names in the kill feed! lol
