trying to upgrade, but all i've been offered to is upgrade for just this weekend until Monday. Is this the way they attempt to make an extra buck? If so I understand but does this mean I will have to wait until after Monday @ 8am?
Any support is helpful.

They are not doing premium memberships anymore due to people taking advantage of it. idk if they will bring it back someday but for now there only doing stream passes.

Explanation:
Sorry but at this point there will be no more new Premium members. Due to the fact that many people would jockey the system and buy a Premium account and when the month is over they would cancel. This will not affect people who have Premium memberships they are grandfathered in. Sorry guys just a little upset with people taking advantage !!

Is there no way a minimum term could be offered for Premium membership? Enough so that the total cost would equal the same as one or two stream passes and therefore it wouldn't be worth playing the system like that (which I agree is a bit cheap)?
I was planning on buying Premium now I can afford it, not just for LANs but for Premium content, but I can't justify the extra cost and reduced privileges of buying per LAN (in the sense that one of the reasons I wanted Premium was to be able to get access to the Premium content whenever I'm browsing between LANs, which won't be possible with the current system). The effective cost of getting access to the stream alone has skyrocketed based on this, and whilst I understand the reasoning perfectly, the upshot is that it's going to put a lot of people off paying at all, myself included.
tl;dr: I agree that people exploiting the system is not on, but this not only makes watching LANs much more expensive, it also pretty much negates the idea of other premium content. Who's going to go through and catch up on all the premium content which is only available during the LAN period when they could be watching the action itself?

Out of interest, I am new to TLN.
I joined honestly only to watch the back logged TLN Media and the Streams over the coming months, when I joined one of two options were available to me;
A One Months with a $5 activation charge.
Two Months Premium Member $20.
I chose the $20 option as I knew that there were to be a couple of LANs coming up and knew once the LANs were over none of the premium content would be important to me.
As I understand it this is not a reoccurring payment, and after the Two Months the premium membership is terminated...Am I right in thinking with means I am not one of these people who are cheating the system...?
Also isn't the combined cost of the 1month reoccurring with activation in total $15, If I was in a position where I could only watch 1 LAN with a $20 Two Month account, I too think I would most likely buy a 1 Month and cancel afterwards.
Wouldn't a solution be lowering the price of the Two Month non-reoccurring premium membership, only if within those Two Months they could only watch 1/2 LANs, less than if someone who bought a Two Month memberships and a prime time.
Lowering the cost at that point to the same cost as the 1month reoccurring would solve the account cancelation no?

Wow, this is a huge turn off. They should just make it a not refundable so ppl can't basically pirate a free membership. I seriously want to pay for access to the premium content, but this is really absurd.
Also I tried to see if I could sign up for a premium membership to possibly watch the rebroadcast...yeah when u go to purchase summary it is for a membership that expired at 8am this morning.

I agree that it should change back to how it was but not allow the refundable cancellation like before. I'll see if I can steal some time from Mr. P at Dallas to try and discuss how this could be done. I would really like to see the option come back because it was huge for bringing new premium members to the site.

I agree that we need the feature to grow, maybe a temporary solution would be that to become a premium member you have to start off by having accounts renew in 3 month increments so that you initially spend more than some lan stream passes, I think we should look for another solution though because it is alot easier or some people to come up with 10-15 dollars than 25-30.

Hmm you make a good point, I hadn't even thought of that aspect. Tbh part of the thing that originally enticed me to buy Premium was the small but regular cost of a monthly payment, but it is pretty clear how this could be abused. I wonder if there's a way for it to still withdraw the 6 dollars or whatever each month rather than 3 month lump sums, but with a minimum term of 3 months so you have to commit to 3 recurring payments when you sign up for it, kinda like a phone contract or something. Tbh I'd be more than happy committing to a whole 12 months if it was still in bitesize monthly payments and there was definitely gonna be a healthy dose of streams/content available for the whole time, I just can't even close to justify paying $11 per weekend each time there's a LAN.
But yeah, sounds like you guys are gonna try and move this forward and I can bet that Mr. P has as much of an interest in resolving this and allowing for Premium membership with proper conduct to help encourage income for the website as anyone. Please let us know if anything comes up, though, and thanks for your help on the issue.
