Trouble

Hey TLN just wanted to make a thread to show how much I appreciate what the Pennacchio family have done for the MLG community this past year. I have been following MLG since 2005 when halo 2 was still in its youth. At the time you had to pay about 25 dollars in order to watch the events live online or the player VoD of the tournaments. I became more and more captivated by the competition and the players within it. As time went on I kept thinking how cool it would be to be able to watch the players play outside of the tournaments, either on xbox live or at LANS.
I believe that I'm not alone when I say that I was interested in getting to know the professional player's real personalities. Because as we all know, many of them prefer to maintain a certain persona at tournaments, which is perfectly understandable considering factors such as their fan base, sponsors, etc. But at the time I could only imagine how the players on Final Boss behaved when they played together online, where they could truly be themselves.
Now here we are at the end of Halo 3's reign just days away from the release of Halo Reach. I can safely say that for me this MLG season has been one of, if not the most, enjoyable season of Halo, and it is all because of the Pennacchios and The Lan Network crew. Not only can I watch 4 different viewpoints of massive 6 Team LANS that last more than 3 full days, I can also see and hear what each and every one of the players are doing and saying in and out of the game. The fans can now connect with players like never before. Whether it's a pro player chat or simply some matchmaking games of a single player's viewpoint, it is more than enough because you are able to hear much more than just the bursts of a battle rifle. Watching Tizoxic's live stream these past couple of days really inspired me to make this thread. After he removed the ability to hear voice I realized how bored I became watching it. A year ago I would have gone nuts just to be able to watch a 1st person viewpoint of a player of his status. But after spending so much time on TLN, it just doesn't compare.
I wish I could contribute so much more to this community, but because I'm going into my senior year of college I don't have near as much time as I used to. I know that sometime in the near future I won't be able to follow the MLG scene anymore. But until that day comes I will continue to reserve some time to watch these incredible LANS that Mr. and Mrs. P host.
It's good to know that most of the regular members here understand the amount of work that is put into this website and act maturely in this community. Please uphold this attitude and instill it into future members. Let's make sure that The Lan Network continues to grow. Thanks again for everything.
