obviously by the title you know what I'm talking about but I had a few ideas in my head but I was wondering what kind of things you would want in a map? I'm already in the process of making it I just want community feedback

long map (like Narrows)
short and round ( Zealot, Nexus, Element)
medium (sanctuary, Asylum etc)
tall ( Sword base, Reflection)
(insert whats left here)

what kind of weapons would you want to see and what power ups would you want?

Like I said this is my first map but if I get some positive feedback from it I might try and enter for the circuit maybe for next year

Thanks

Think about the Halo Reach game mechanics. If you choose to make a map heavily inspired by a previous Halo map, take into mind how effective the main rifles are with the size and shape of your map.
That's all I can give as a guy who has followed the forge forums for a couple years now. There are more than a few good forgers on the TLN forgers, I'm sure you can get a lot of great advice from them.

id rather a symetrical map. give us 2 bases and a few power positions. i would say do a map inspired by pit, but do not make a remake. give it its own flair and make it fresh.

nah this wont be a remake. might change something time to time but I want to do something unique and good as my first map

I would really enjoy a map similar to Narrows but like Michael said, it would have to fit the mechanics of reach's gameplay.

Salot is working on a narrows map right now. You can always go to these forums (http://forums.majorleaguegaming.com/forum/345-halo-reach-forge-world/) for advice and inspiration. Also there is always an MLG submission going on over there, so if you don't know what you want to build, they can tell you what MLG is currently looking for.

Also being new to forging, you are going to want to read the thread titled: A Guide To Minimize Screenlag. Thats your best friend. No one wants to play a laggy map.

If you need and help hit me up on XBL
